Pro wrestling is staged, or by industry terms "worked," meaning the ending and the events of the match are planned and sometimes rehearsed ahead of time, though the amount to which that occurs is relative to the demands of the match and the opponents. If it's two guys who've worked together a lot, they might plan the match out as they go along, giving each other directions throughout the match or even just trusting each other to react appropriately to each move or sequence.

However, that's not to say pro wrestling isn't a physically demanding sport. As a wrestler, I know that even the ******* ring ropes can bruise your skin just when you run off them. Not to mention how it feels to take a bump (fall onto the mat), which though can vary depending on the stiffness of the ring, if your form for the bump is off you'll have back pains for life. Then even though you assist opponents in lifting you and you assist them, it can be enormously taxing on your muscles throwing people around. At practice, I have to do an exercise where I hit my partner with one scoop slam, he bumps and stands up to feed into it again and again. It's honestly a more intense core workout than any **** I've done in P90X or Insanity.

As far as strikes, it depends on the guys. Some people like to work stiff, punching each other hard; others play it safe. Then some strikes are always stiff because they aren't likely to cause an injury, like chops to the chest. You can go to ******* town chopping another dude's chest and it won't injure him, but it will hurt like ******* hell.

So there's some basics of pro wrestling. If you're going to comment on the industry, maybe take some time to educate yourself.
