I'm dyslexic and this is surprisingly simple to read.
My first thought was "What the **** , moving text?"
Then I looked at the text and thought "What the **** ? I can read this as well, if not better than a normal sentence!"

Do they constantly see the words change like this (not as dramatic obviously) or do they just see the wrong letters in 'still' form?

I'm prepared for red thumbs, but please answer.

Everyone who has dyslexia is different. I have a mild case of it and I, as can be determined from my grammar and spelling, can read and write with little difficulty. However, reading out loud is difficult for me. I read things out of order, sometimes, or just skip over words. It's kind of like when you trip over your own feet, except you're reading, if you can understand that. I also have horrible coordination (i.e. Handwriting, drawing, etc.) and I am slow with numbers and read them mixed up. It's not like if I read the number, say, 4534 over and over it looks like 4543, but I'll read it like that if I'm not paying much attention. Obviously, that can cause some problems. For another example, one of my best friends has severe dyslexia, and he can't spell or write worth a **** . It has to do with having difficulty remembering correct spelling, and just doing the basic way of connecting syllables to letters. Reading is also difficult for him, because he reads the letters in such a manner that he'll read it and after looking over the word once, his mind will assume it is one word, when it is actually something different, based only off of the letter that are in the word. It's a bit difficult to describe, but I hope that helps. Dyslexia does not always affect reading.

Thank you!
I just want to kiss you right now!!

Do you find it annoying to live with or are you used to it?
User avatar #87 to #86 - mrfuji (09/13/2012) [-]
Well, since it's not officially diagnosed (I've done a lot of research on it) I have a tough time getting teachers to understand that I don't read out loud well. I'm not terrible at it, but it does have some things that are annoying. I am awful at sports, drawing, and writing, and obviously these are things that I would love to be able to do. Furthermore, Math is pretty difficult for me, obviously. Good thing I'm interested in history then :p. To look at it overall, I am used to it but I just wish I had sports skills. It's not a really huge obstacle in day to day life so I'm ok. Some people, like my friend, get made fun of for misspelling and misreading things, and that's not cool. One thing about people with dyslexia though is that they commonly are extremely intelligent, and some people have told me that I am pretty smart.
