That's dumb. I've seen demonstrations. I've developed some concept of it mentally. Therefore, it's a realistic comment to say I'm trying to suppress my memory of it.

Hey, hey guise. Hey Guise. You listening guise? I have this great idea--guise LISTEN. We'll put the joystick--listening guise?? We'll put the joystick...in the MIDDLE of the controller...and the d-pad where no one can reach it!

Brilliant!

Um...uh, sir? We just confirmed that people do NOT have three hands. Should we still sell these?

"Uh, sir. It turns out kid in America don't have three hands!"

"What? That is outrageous!"

What about this and the tablet?
User avatar #22 to #15 - jaknik (06/28/2012) [-]
Man, you KNOW that first person shooters are taking over gaming when the Dpad and buttons are taking backseat to the joysticks.....

Nah you get a hell of a lot of action games that require them, stuff like dark souls wouldn't work without the twin analogue. It's just because games require more movement because of the 3d space, it's because fighters such as street fighter have taken a back seet, up untill recently with SF4.

The buttons will now probably be used for quicktime events

Gif unrelated.

That's funny that you mentioned that. I was actually imagining trying to play Street fighter with that controller. I love Fighters and Platformers too much i guess.

User avatar #80 to #77 - BmanX (06/28/2012) [-]
Yeah sure, let's go with that. It's not like that's why the 3DS exists or anything.

Am I the only one who likes the Xbox controller the best out of the current three? I own all three too, so no bias really.
User avatar #66 to #42 - BmanX (06/28/2012) [-]
I'm kind of in the middle of whether I like the 360 or PS3 controller more. While the 360 controller is sturdier and it fits better in the hand, the D-pad is atrocious and I don't really like the bumpers. The PS3 has an excellent D-pad and the L1/R1 buttons are more functional than the LB/RB buttons, but it feels a bit more cheaply made and the control sticks are apparently uncomfortably placed for some people, though I've never been uncomfortable with them. So for me, it doesn't really matter which one I use (though fighting games MUST be played on PS3 due to the functional D-pad)
User avatar #48 to #42 - teoberry (06/28/2012) [-]
agreed, Wii I've never really used, but the PS3's controller is too small and feels really plasticy and cheap.
#51 to #48 - MegaCommenter (06/28/2012) [-]
I don't mind the lightness or plasticky feel, it's just the damn analog sticks. They jut out too far because they're convex, and make my thumbs hurt even when they're pushed in
User avatar #56 to #42 - commontroll (06/28/2012) [-]
Yeah, PS3 controllers are more designed to be held in the fingers, whereas the 360 controllers are made to be held with the palms. I love the controllers much more for the 360.
#104 to #42 - anon (06/28/2012) [-]
I slightly prefer the Playstation controller. I think the original x-box controller was a bit too bulky, much like the Dreamcast.
But the 360 controller is great, especially on fps.
User avatar #96 to #42 - psychedeliic (06/28/2012) [-]
I have really big hands, and the xbox controller is the only one I can use comfortably.

User avatar #50 to #25 - TheSock (06/28/2012) [-]
ps1 didnt have joysticks, thats why the ps2 controller had the analog button, so you could
set the sticks to work or not
#79 to #50 - anon (06/28/2012) [-]
no. ps1 did have joysticks. i have one sitting in the next room over and still play crash bash from time to time and i assure you, the joysticks do exist and are fully functional.
#92 to #79 - Makito (06/28/2012) [-]
There wasn't any joysticks on it when it first released though.
User avatar #30 to #25 - KingRANDOM (06/28/2012) [-]
Also added the R3 and L3 buttons as well as changing R2 and L2 to be more like triggers than buttons. (Ps1 didnt have any of those fancy things.)
+2
