When I worked in a food van (hot dogs, fries, burgers) at events like music festivals and nascar, we were working 16 hour shifts in an environment that averaged 52 degrees Celsius (Ausfag- don't know Fahrenheit) people were passing out all the time, but they gave us a $25 bonus every time we did so we wouldn't tell work health and safety... also we only got 2 fifteen minute breaks in that 16 hours. Because were were working festivals and stuff it would be like that for a number of days, you'd work 16 hours, go sleep in your car for another 8, then back to work... sucked balls but we made a ton of money for events like that.

Averaging 52? When the highest temperature recorded in Australia was 50.7, don't think so.

yeah it wasn't 50 degrees outside the van, but in a small metal tube with no fans or aircon, two deep friars, a grill, heating lights, boiling water for hottogs and 6 other people it gets pretty hot

yeah I'm sure it does get that hot in other places but I hate the heat and those 16 hour shifts where killers.
And I didn't report it because its not like they didn't try make it better for us, we had all the water we could drink, and the owners were in there for even longer than we were, plus the pay is the best pay I've ever gotten, and it was mostly at festivals I could never afford tickets to in the first place, so in the main sets everyone was off watching and not getting food, so we could just stand and watch from the van
