THIS GIF'S LEVEL OF EXCELLENCE IS OFF THE CHARTS!!! I would give you all my thumbs if I could.

i just watched the 3rd episode of the series and i thought of something.
amon gains the ability to take people's bending away, but tenzin said only the avatar has ever
possessed that power, what if amon is really aang, returned from the spirit world, to rid the
world of bending either after seeing the destruction it's caused because of people, or because
of something that happened in the spirit world? it would explain how he has that power, and
why he keeps his face hidden all of the time (he says it's because of a burn but that
could easily be a lie) just an idea
User avatar #800 to #770 - natanhiel (05/01/2012) [-]
Check out that acrobatic girl from The Last Airbender. She takes away bending for a few hours+ just by tapping 3 pressure points. It can't be that hard.
Or maybe he traded something to a spirit with a power similar to Ko the power stealer.

Amon isn't Aang.

Oh my, it seems that you are the dumbest ************ to ever walk this planet. Seriously, reread your post, and try not to kill yourself.
User avatar #799 to #797 - TheSock (05/01/2012) [-]
wow that unnecessary. how am i dumb? there arent any loose ends in this theory,
it explains how amon has the ability to take away people's bending, and aang has gone back
and forth between the spirit world several times, so did the avatar before him even though he
was dead. and the post itself makes sense, if you dont understand it, then you're the dumb
************

sorry but aang is good...and amon is a stupid ************ he want only power! this is a stupid theory!
please,dont say this again!

Nope. It's a kids show, they wouldn't have Aang be a 'bad guy'
User avatar #782 to #775 - TheSock (04/27/2012) [-]
if it was because of bending destroying the world, he wouldnt necessarily be the bad guy

Did they ever say how or why he died.

He was my favorite...

My bet is old age, plus the way he acts it wouldn't be too surprising if he died young...
#788 to #772 - elixereight (04/28/2012) [-]
There's no such thing as dying from old age.
User avatar #789 to #788 - redwolfradolf (04/28/2012) [-]
oh really?
#790 to #789 - elixereight (04/28/2012) [-]
Nobody has ever died of old age since 1954. All deaths have a cause, and simply saying "old age" does not cut it anymore. Something's gonna fail eventually, one organ is gonna die over time, and it will lead to oxygen deprivation in the brain and death. That's "dying from old age" for you.
User avatar #791 to #790 - redwolfradolf (04/28/2012) [-]
Why are you even arguing this point?
Aren't there more important things to pick a fight over?
User avatar #761 to #740 - mrgilly (04/26/2012) [-]
No, but only 3 episodes are out at the moment.

AHEM

There are only 3 episodes out so far.

That is all.

They say Aang died young because of the extended period of time he was in the Avatar state while hiding from the fire nation. He died at age 60.
User avatar #764 to #757 - arearea (04/26/2012) [-]
WEN THE HELL DO THEY SAY THAT?
User avatar #778 to #764 - BridgeTroll (04/26/2012) [-]
they dont, but since aang is biologically twelve years old in avatar the last airbender, and legend of korra is 70 years in the future, he would be 82. but since Korra is the avatar, aang must be dead, and since korra is 17 years old, he died at the biological age of 65. Katara mentions that Sokka has died, Toph is implied to be dead as well. Zuko is still alive but abdicated the throne to his daughter (sauce: nick's website). Azula, Suki, Ty Lee, and Mai have not been mentioned. Iroh and Ozai are most likely dead, the rest of the order of the white lotus from the first series are likely dead. Aang and Katara had 3 kids, Toph has at least a daughter, Zuko had at least a daughter, Sokka has not been mentioned if he had kids.
#738 to #728 - anonymous (04/25/2012) [-]
Not sure about most of that but The Legend of Korra is only 70 years in the future from Avatar the last Airbender so let's say Katara was 17 or something like that even 70 years later at 87 she could still be alive

Aang is dead (duh, that's why the new avatard)
Katara is alive, but she only apears for like 30 seconds
No word on Zuko.

Sokka RIP.

if you go to nicks website, it reveals that Zuko is alive, but he abdicated the throne

aang is dead, obviously, because korra is alive and all.

it's still early in series, most likely will have some stories delve into those questions.
User avatar #732 to #728 - shikurukato (04/25/2012) [-]
Katara got filled up by the Avatar. Chakra sustaining, mayne.

Aang, Toph, and Sokka are all dead.
