Technically they could never fly through it. The rainbow is a product of optical geometry, and provided the rain cloud were big enough, it would simply move with the position of their eyes.

No, those are portals to other Earth-like planets.
The biggest one ever recorded can be found in the Bermuda triangle and it is unknown how long it will last. Most people think it's permanent, but experts say that, although it may last for a very long time, it is guarantied to dissipate over time. Not sure why. All I can remember is that it had something to do with thermodynamics, electromagnetism and a lot of general relativity mumbo jumbo.

I remember seeing this in the middle of a rice field when i was a kid. I was half amazed and half scared because i think it's already the sign of an alien invasion.

Perhaps a cold day? This happens when there are icicles in the air that refract the light.

All rainbows have a second, fainter rainbow outside of them. It's also flipped, a sort of reflection.
So, there are no triple rainbows... But there are quadruple rainbows.
User avatar #70 to #39 - tinglyturtletaint (08/12/2014) [-]
Not only that, but rainbows have an extra color on both sides that we just don't see.
They actually go infrared, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, ultraviolet.
Pink isn't on there because it doesn't technically exist, same with black, white, gray, and purple.

This is every rainbow ever, except there's a little bit of dirt and soil and trees and houses and whatnot blocking the rest of the rainbow when you're on the ground.

The first time I realised that there's a 'rainbow' around the moon I was stoned on new year's 2010. I thought it was 100% a sign from the flying spaghetti monster

Double rainbow? What does it mean?
User avatar #51 to #48 - dehnoobshow ONLINE (08/12/2014) [-]
Well, a double rainbow is a phenomenon of optics that displays a spectrum of light due to the sun shining on droplets of moisture in the atmosphere.

Does that explain it?
