How do I get my sprinting speed up?
Is there anything I should take into account besides doing it a lot?

Like other have said, improve form. Or u can do an explosive workout. For example, when doing a squat, when you do the upwards motion, explode up ( while keeping it under control) this should help with some strength and improving your fast twitch muscles.

You can sprint with leg weights, or buy a parachute and use that, really any form of resistance works. You could even just sprint the same distance over and over again and it will eventually improve. Also work your legs (calves especially) and get them stronger.

improve your form. many times this helps, if you already have good form then do explosive starts at full speed and run for 25 or so yards repeat until you can only start slowly(exhausted)
