Yes,because pedestrians totally should pay to walk.
Why not tax breathing as well, can't deny the profit you get from it.
User avatar #2 to #1 - hantervan ONLINE (08/08/2014) [-]
im not talking about pedestrians on the FOOTPATH, im talking about imposing a system to make cyclist responsible for their actions on the road. the amount of times ive seen a cyclist pull some **** that if i were in a car or motorbike would see me cop a severe fine. as such by making them register bikes it reduces the amount of ******** they can pull.

wanna compare the number of deaths caused year on year by drivers compared to cyclists?
yeah didn't think so
User avatar #11 to #9 - hantervan ONLINE (08/08/2014) [-]
obviously there's going to be a difference in favour of cars when more of the populations drives.
and wow pulling disproportional statistics up, looks like you've got a long political career ahead of you, good work EADC eat a dick cunt

1 death a year versus 253, 78 injuries a year versus 4,426 in the UK, 2012
I don't know how many people cycle/drive, but it's still a pretty clear statistic
tolerate cyclists and stop being a faggot

unlucky for you that you don't live in germany.
We actually enforce the law over here.
User avatar #6 to #5 - hantervan ONLINE (08/08/2014) [-]
that would be great, id be fully behind a larger police force if it meant cyclist didn't get away with their ******** . hell if i could just see one get a fine for it i wouldn't be anti-cyclist

unfortunately i speak no German, but i do want to travel there one day if i can ever afford it

you wouldn't regret coming here.
Law enforcement at it's finest.

The police are nice folk with military training and most of them have studied law (except for the oldfags among them) so they know their **** .
Here is a standard case scenario of police work :

Guy 1 : I'm calling the police!
Guy 2 : **** you I ain't leaving the house!
*5 mins later*
Police : Hello, police here , where's the problem?
Guy 1 : This asshole upstairs won't pay his rent and refuses to leave.
Police : Don't worry m'lord, we'll take care of it. In germany we call male strangers/colleagues/superiors - Lord , we call women just "woman" though.
*police goes upstairs*
Police : my lord, we'd like to have a talk with you, it seems you are refusing to pay rent, and we'd like you to come to the department with us.
Guy 2 : **** you , I'm not leaving my home!
Police : Please m'lord , we don't want to use violence, we're asking you again to kindly come with us.
Guy 2 : No way in hell I'm coming with you!
Police : My lord, this is your last chance before you break open the door and take you into custody.
Guy 2 : NO!!
*police rams open the door and pins the guy to the ground, blocking his arms and handcuff him before taking him away*
Police : Everything you do and say now can and will be used against you in court my Lord, you have the right to be silent.

Germany doesn't have a low crime rate for nothing.
Police are nice folk, as mentioned earlier , but also pretty scary.

They live up to their slogan "Thy friends and helpers" though.

In reality you're a selfish asshole who doesn't care how much danger somebody on a motorcycle or bicycle is in. We can't help you don't want to take 3 seconds out of your driving time to give us some extra space. You are in a car, surrounded by metal and safety standards as we sit on a frame with only our bodies to shield us from impacts. You're not going to step on a baby and go "Well **** , he shouldn't have expected some extra space". Of course based on how you want to treat cyclists it's in the realm of possibilities.

tl;dr kill yourself

your not wrong, i am selfish and inclined to be an ass hole. i like my car, i spend many hours tinkering with it to keep it going. so im not gonna jeopardise my car or myself, because self-preservation wins out over any single person out there i dont know. how i want to treat cyclist is to make them responsible for their actions on the road, similarly unless there is a bike lane present they shouldn't be on that bit of road.

besides i enjoy my life, so im just gonna keep on. maybe one day you'll learn to not be a lycra wearing faggot, who knows all things are possible

i dont mind cyclists on the road, but in my experience some cyclist drive through the city.
i find that very dangerous cause of kids playing, tourists not paying attention etc.
#3 - bakly (08/08/2014) [-]
Maybe I just don't know, but what special laws for cyclist?
User avatar #4 to #3 - hantervan ONLINE (08/08/2014) [-]
in Australia you're supposed to give a meters space for cyclists even if it means crossing a solid white line. I don't think i need to elaborate the potential danger in that.

and theres other ones cyclists are bitching and moaning for that i cant quite recall atm
#7 to #4 - bakly (08/08/2014) [-]
Yes, you're right, that sounds pretty dangerous. So there is no line just for cyclist? Like you know marked line for cyclist near footpath and then rest of road for drivers and of course both drivers and cyclist can't ride/drive in inappropriate line
User avatar #8 to #7 - hantervan ONLINE (08/08/2014) [-]
occasionally there is a cyclist lane, but more often then not the problems occurs on narrow roads where there is no cycle lane or when they ride two abreast which is a big no no. and well im not risking my own safety for a complete stranger....
