Because a single page of like, four or five panels comes out once a week, and people are really curious if these two are going to make it as a couple.

Not only that, but I also think that it helps promote their games?

I don't think they can shut it down unless the artist starts claiming the characters are their own and to pay him money for it. If I recall, the comics are made for free, and people donate to his patreon. So there's a loophole, there.

He's not getting paid to draw nintendo characters. He's getting donations and just so happens to draw nintendo characters.

Both of which Nintendo has shown flagrant disregard for and an absolute field of zero ***** given. They copyright strike reviews of their content regardless of the content of the review. They have used copyright strikes on the name of videos alone.

Link has been reborn as Zelda's adopted Daughter.
Overall, Zelda remembers some things from her former Lives, Ganondorf remembers everything, and to preserve peace in this cycle she proposed a political marriage for a way to put Ganondorf into shared power without much bloodshed or else another inevitable war would take place.

With luck, Zelda will think that Ganon legitimately had no idea how to properly apologize, and so got Rinku's help.
Which is pretty much what happened anyway, just with Rinku going to Ganon instead of the other way around.
