Apparently they are actually working on it, and did a test-run where they made it to undead burg.

we'd never get through. ever.
#102 to #97 - fatalhermit (03/02/2014) [-]
you mean it would take 4 years and the ability to make everyone on earth part of a gigantic hivemind?
User avatar #149 to #102 - chuckbillrow (03/02/2014) [-]
even if there was only one person playing and he was the world's best dark souls player he would not make it past the tutorial using twitch chat as the input method

pokemon has 7 buttons, and timing takes no part in it, ever.
Dark souls has quite a lot of buttons, and even more combinations. Timing is one of the most important parts of the game. If we beat the demon in the undead asylum, i'd be impressed.
User avatar #145 to #105 - ninjacowboy (03/02/2014) [-]
I'd be impressed if we made it to the room of the demon
#106 to #105 - fatalhermit (03/02/2014) [-]
this is why i said we'd need a hive-mind
User avatar #107 to #106 - shadowstepone ONLINE (03/02/2014) [-]
a hive mind is still quite dissonant, it just knows everything that all other members are thinking,

The curse shall live and pass on to another victim, in Gold, Silver or Crystal.
They shall know no meaning to life other than going down when climbing up a hill.

I'm partaking in TwitchPlaysPokemon as I write this.

I'm not sure what's more incredible to me, the fact that they beat it or all the fan art of the final team that's out. I almost wish I could watch it all from start to finish, I just cannot wrap my head around how they beat all the gym leaders and Elite Four and ******* ZUBATS which is something I only now just thought of.

There is a Pokemon Manga, with the character Red as the main character. He is a Pokemon master. Red is also the base name for the character in the Pokemon Red game. This comic depicts Red, with the team used in TwitchPlaysPokemon.

In my opinion, the democracy/anarchy option ruined the whole point of the TwitchPlaysPokemon. Everyone were too busy typing anarchy/democracy, allowing people to type the commands that are necessary to complete the game.
User avatar #110 to #82 - paronix ONLINE (03/02/2014) [-]
I actually never really caught any of it, could you explain quickly wtf that was?
User avatar #137 to #110 - ryapr (03/02/2014) [-]
anarchy made every command count, democracy took 10 or 20 secs and used the highest spammed control
User avatar #136 to #110 - roxasbaby (03/02/2014) [-]
Basically it worked like this. People could type in anarchy or democracy to vote for either or.Anarchy mode would just have it input whatever inputs people would type in chat, so people could do whatever they want. In democracy mode, people would vote for the input they wanted, and whatever was voted on the most would be the input that would be used. Modes would change when enough votes for one shifted the meter past a line that depicted how much you would need to make the transition. Then the bar would reset to a distance quite a bit away so that it would constantly be flickering back and forth between the two methods.
