I have always wanted a snake, but i can't think of letting it kill small animals everyday so it can eat. It seems horrible, and even if you get over it after some days, i can never start with it.

But you can always dream...

not a snek owner but im pretty sure you only need to feed them like 3 times a week

With a python, from baby to adult, its once a week with baby mice, after about 4 months its typically every two weeks with normal mice, 1 year and they should be ok to eat every month with baby to adult rats. The thing is that you have to feed them until they wont take anymore willingly, so typically two or three rodents every feeding.

You have a fundamental misunderstanding of python biology and behavior. They are rarely aggressive towards humans, or anything bigger than they are for that matter. And they are also non-venomous. If it was comfortable enough to crawl into his pants its obviously not easily threatened by him.

It depends on the snake and how much you handle them. The one i had used to be pretty solitary and secluded when it was young but as it got bigger and more used to me it would frequently curl up in my lap when i was on my pc. While he did that presumably for the bodyheat more than anything else, it takes a lot of trust for a snake to approach a human like that.

Tl;Dr: Yeah, but getting them to like you isnt as easy as it is with dogs.

Even if it was aggressive, python vs human in the human house? Surely a desperate human would think to use the nearest sharp object to try remove the snake.

Removing the fangs and/or venom glands of a venomous snake is disgusting and stupid.
First off, you can't sedate a snake properly so it has to be done without anesthesia, just mutilating the animal and causing it unimaginable pain as you cut its teeth out or dig into its head to get the sacs that produce the venom.

Just as importantly, snakes are known to have incredible regenerating abilities and they are known to re-grow fangs and glands, so that doesn't exactly make them in any way safe.

If you absolutely have to have a venomous snake for a pet (and it can be dome - just very, very carefully, and always with risks) then just invest in a proper locking enclosure and a snake hook. Don't mangle the animal to try to conform it to your preferences...in this case, it might cost you your life. : /

Alternatively: Get a normal, non-venomous pet snake instead. They are pet snakes and they make good pets. Also, pretty colors.

I miss my Red Tail now. He would actually follow me from room to room and wrap himself around my leg under my pantleg and just chill. I'd remove him to go do something and he would just follow me and try to get back where he was whether I was doing dishes, cleaning, vacuuming(************ loved a warm vacuum too, whether it was running or not), etc.
