Drinking with other people is a bummer, really. It's more fun to one of the two - three sober people at the party, because you can group up and laugh at how ridiculous everyone is.

I prefer to drink at home alone. Sit down with a nice book, and drink until the words run together.

Recently, I found there is a bonus to not drinking: when at parties, the drinks will eventually run out. And damn near everyone will pay anyone sober enough and old enough to get more.

People look at me funny because I say I don't want beer or vodka or whisky or whatever. I can't help it that my taste buds don't like that ****, now let me sit here and drink my 99 cent 2 liter.

DRINKING STORY AND LIFE LESSONS LEARNT-- Two of my friends are named Alex and Pat. Alex was a very popular and charismatic guy (this is from High School btw) and Pat is a fairly awkward but still fun guy. Until the end of highschool neither of the two drank alcohol (btw legal age 18 here #australia). Pat saw it as him taking the "moral highground" aka not doing what the popular people did. Alex honestly just wasnt a huge drinker. Now Alex wasnt vocal about his non-drinking but Pat was. He would try to remind people that he didn't drink and so he alienated himself cos people thought he was a douche. Moral of the story is that if you don't drink that's fine but don't act like Pat who I describe as an alcohol Vegan.

I like to start out the night with a couple shots. Once we have that down, and the party has commenced, it's time to drink all the beer your stomach can handle. After you get that good ole fashion drunk going, it is optional to smoke some bud to get put on another universe of stupid. A few games of flip cup or bp and we're another level. Take some road shots and then you've completed a successful night of beating the **** out of your liver. Have fun kids and remember, never mix liquor and beer; unless you want to get super ****** up.

I usually say no after one or two drinks when I have to drive home.

When I'm spending the night, I'll drink until I puke.

Am I the only one who doesn't have ****** friends? If I saw I don't want to drink they're just like "Ok that's cool."

I have an alcohol allergy, it runs in my family.
I'm always the DD and always have to babysit all my drunk friends.

Have you ever tried alcohol? I feel like your family is lying to you.

I could be entirely off base, though.

Oh I've tried it, and I'm not nearly as bad as some of my family, who will literally die if they drink.
It makes me break out horribly in hives, and I get way too drunk too fast, though that may due to a lack of tolerance.
I will drink on very rare occasions, and never very much at a time.
And I try not to drink in public at all, so that leaves me as the DD.

I've honestly never heard of an alcohol allergy. I'm curious, have you used hand sanitizer before? Just wondering how many alcohols set you off.

I believe it has to do with the fermentation process its self. And sake doesn't effect me at all, so it's probably something to due with the grains or hops.
I don't normally have a reaction when an alcoholic beverage touches my skin, and never had any with and sanitation alcohols or ethanol alcohols.

Interesting. I'd bet it isn't the alcohol then, but then again, I'm not you so I can't say.

Good luck with that though.
