If James hadn't gotten mixed up with the wrong crowd, no one would see him as a bad guy.

Jesse and James are both 17. They're kids themselves.

Why does being really nice constitute a really good trainer? You can have patience and encourage your pokemon, but if you are not assertive and put your foot down, then the pokemon would walk all over you. That is why James' pokemon are never stronger than Ash's.

James was one of my favorite characters as a kid 'cause of his goofy character + voicing. But when Pokemon 2000 came out and he helped Ash save the world etc. I saw him in a totally new light
After that, it always made me a little sad when he'd be 'blasting off again' and no one remembered what he did for the world. mfw

I know that feeling. I remember watching the series, and thought "but why is James really the bad guy?" Whenever Jessi isn't around, or they aren't chasing Ash, he is one of the nicest people ever

He tries to steal them, but he never tries to hurt them. maybe he just made a bad decision in his life that lead him down that road.

Plus lets not forget how much of a dick Ash is. When Team Rocket has no pokemon, they use a contraption to capture some, and keep 1 for themselves. What does Ash do? He blows up their machine, and electrocutes them.

To be honest its not much different than how now normal trainers get pokemon. They struggle to get out of the pokeball because they dont want to go with them. Its a forced bond. In the end James is one of the few who asks them if they want to come, and they all love him for it. Even though they hurt him all the time by accident he doesnt care, he loves them back unconditionally.

He's still stealing pokemon, others trainers at that too. Makes him a ******* douchebag.

I think taking pokemon from the wild and forcing them to bond with you and fight for you makes you more of a douchebag in the end. James may be a thief, but hes a good friend. He sticks by his pokemon and never yells at them or mistreats them even when they hurt him, he just smiles and forgives. He sticks by his team too, even though they always fail their mission, he sticks by them. He would make a much better protagonist than Ash Ketchum. Im not saying Ash hasnt had his great moments with pokemon but overall hes a huge faggot.

Then you realise James is luring the Pokemon in like a paedophile lures in children with candy.

James would be very strong if he would let his pokemon battle, but he cares about them a lot and doesnt want them to get hurt.

Why do you think Ash can never become the pokemon master? James is already the pokemon master.

I'm not gonna bother with scrolling down, I'm just gonna ask, does no one remember that most of ash's starting pokemon were his because he asked them to? or is it just me
