Actually...wouldn't he technically be right? They fought the orcs, fought through Goblin Town, traveled more than halfway there. Sure there are still the giant spiders and dragon to escape from but the only thing that they, The Company, have to deal with now are the spiders. Smaug just goes and ***** up Laketown and Bard offs him so actually none of the dwarves are in any other kind of trouble for this movie, just spiders some things that will happen IN the movie, but for this second movie (because god ******* knows The Hobbit NEEDED to be a 3 parter ) Bilbo's pretty much spot on.

A dragon seems not enough for you, right?

As far as what they've got to go through? Not really. I was just avoiding spoilers for the rest of the class but honestly it's just Bilbo talking to him and taking a cup and running like a bat out of hell so Smaug can lose his **** and **** up the humans compared to what they went through in the beginning Part 2 seems pretty lax for the Company.

Major spoilers here. Bilbo doesn't simply gets a cup and runs away. He steals the goddamn Arkenstone and hides it from Thorin, revealing a component of greed unknown in him, and turning Thorin itself it's enemy at the last part of the book. If we speak in general terms, but, I think Mirkwood, Smaug attack and The Battle of the Five Armies is a pretty bad time for anyone, even for Thorin's company. But as always, everyone has it's own point.

i get the feeling (spoilers)
the second movie will be about mirkwood and the wood elfs kidnapping and escape while heading to the water village and the assault on smaug and possible more
while the third can be the killing of smaug and the inner turmoil of races and then the great fight, death burials and the return home n stuff
but either way its not like its going to be a cake walk

Well the expanded upon the Hobbit story from the Silmarillion and the Unfinished tales. I'm hoping they touch on the war in the north and siege of Dol Goldur

I saw this movie on opening Night And sat next to this big dude with a nasty beard. He would laugh at anything that could be even slightly considered humor and sang every dwarf song word for word.
When this part of the movie happened he busted up laughing and yelled “IF ONLY HE KNEW! ”

god damn it!
Am I the only one that hates how people want to call the dragon Smoug. It sounds so much better if it's 'Smog'

According to the appendix of The Lord of the Rings:
'au (aw) as in loud or how - and not as in laud or haw'

I don't care. I'm not calling him Smaug. It sounds like I am Eric Cartman.

Well, if you're mispronouncing it on purpose for your own liking, it shouldn't piss you off
