Is L.A. Noire any good on the computer? I've been wanting to play it for a while (don't have any consoles) but I've seen a lot of bad reviews for the PC version of it. Is it worth buying? I don't really want to waste my money since I'm broke enough as it is, but I really would like to play it...

Its really good at first, but gets way too repetitive after the 4th case, then all the cases afterwards are reused a lot, you can solve them the same way you solved the previous ones, and the endings of them are very anti-climatic.

the game has a lot of potential but you better off playing Phoenix Wright, lot more thought have been put in the cases.

Alan Wake:

MAYBE THE COFFEE IS SO THAT YOU DO NOT FALL ASLEEP DURING THE NIGHT WHEN THE ******* MONSTERS COME OUT.

Also, I really couldn't finish the game, because of how much it resembles a possible course I could've gone in life.
User avatar #128 to #124 - sharondasilva (09/10/2013) [-]
The coffee isn't even a key part to the game, its just a collectable, but all it represents is Alan Wake wanting to stay awake away from his nightmare
User avatar #129 to #128 - moshthun (09/10/2013) [-]
I know, I played the game through to maybe act 2, not sure. But it does seem logical that you collect coffee thermoses, seeing how ****** up the monsters are.

Also, nightmare? Are you saying it is all fictious, like, he wakes up at some point and goes "Ah dang it Madelyn, it was all a faike, I aint no great writer!" or something like that?
User avatar #150 to #129 - yusay ONLINE (09/10/2013) [-]
IIRC the Darkness was using his head to make the monsters.

It's been years since I was spoiled, and I'm probably going to finally play the game now.
#149 to #129 - delivering (09/10/2013) [-]
It's a bit complicated as to exactly what the monsters are and how they came to be.

Do you want me to spoil the story for you, or not?
User avatar #130 to #129 - sharondasilva (09/10/2013) [-]
Its really ''fictious'' but by nightmare I mean is that all of the monsters are from Alan's head
User avatar #131 to #130 - sharondasilva (09/10/2013) [-]
Its not*

Alan Wakes need for coffee makes perfect sense. He can't sleep as he will lose time and the darkness would catch up to him. The Engineer is also questionable. They are called flammable once in the series as far as I know, but literally everything about them says the exact opposite. You know, working with plasma, explosives, hot metal, lighting Johnsons cigar, etc.
