Wow I forgot how many People have a lack of common sense on here. People that complain about not getting what they think they should are rampet today. Most people that post they didn't get enough are the same people that will complain when they get arrested for being a dumbass or complain when they get into trouble over something thing they did wrong.

Let's use common sense for a minute here when it comes to Gamestop.

1. People complain about trade prices...well 1. It was used merchandise...used by YOU. If you got it used then it was used by god knows who else. 2. People have to remember you aren't the only person trading that game or console in. My store has 75 copies of AC3...for the 360 ALONE. We are a VERY small store. So you have to pay in part for the space the game takes up, AND the amount of time it sits there...which can be a long time. 3. Supply and demand...your old ass sports games, or mainstream titles won't sell for that much because no one wants to play them. Sad but true....now a rare RPG might pull full price, heck even a good over looked title can do it.

2. People bitch about reservations...The company forced employees to reach a certain mark in reward cards, reservations, AND warranties on games. If we fail...we get written up. ALL OF THESE THINGS HELP YOU. PUR card? Saves 10% doesn't sound like much, but guess what idiot...if you buy legit 3 used games when they are in the 40-50 dollar range you pay for your stupid ass card. Oh FYI you get coupons to help increase that value...also you get a magazine for a year, AND more when you trade your stupid copy of Madden 09. Reservations get you a copy day ONE no isses...unless there is a plane crash...long story. Also they give you special content or gifts...either way it comes out of the 60 dollars you were spending on it any way...don't be a twat.

3. Return policy. If you buy a new game, and open it/use it...you used the game. It is now used. Don't expect a full refund if you do this. Instead buy preowned...it helps the company, saves you money, AND you can return it within 7 days. Don't even tell me that preowned games are not as good as new...they are the same god damn game just with love from some other person who wanted to play the game. Stop bitching, and grow the **** up.

I forgot to mention that warranty thing...yeah extend your return policy for a year on a 60 dollar game that you can scratch up like a **** nut, and then we have to give you a NEW game for THREE DOLLARS....sorry, but why is that a bad idea? Let me show you why this is brilliant, and helps YOU as a customer.

You buy your ****** ******* game. Yay for you right? Aw **** it is all scratched up...barely works, or just looks like **** in your collection. AW SNAP bring it back, and get another SEALED COPY. Take said copy to ******* Best Buy, and demand a refund. Get your game for 3 dollars. God damn GS employee...so annoying...stop saving me money.

On another note, I love how half the time the people who complain about preordering are the same that complain about people buying used games. People will bitch about anything.

They should mention the chick that the desperate guys are all staring at or attempting to talk to, regardless of whether or not she's all that physically attractive.

I never trade used games and consoles to them. I remember trying to trade in an old xbox arcade console that I originally bought for $200 from them. I only got $50 back on it, including the controller and some old games!

Keep in mind that the controller goes with the system and not separate, and the xbox had no memory. Memory can be a large factor at times.

I did turn it in with a hard drive that I bought with my own money from the same place for $100. What Gamestop needs is a better system of payment for these trades.

You bought an Arcade for 200? Well the price went down, now it's, let's say, 180. And it's used, so cut off another 60 bucks. 120. They need to make a profit, right? So let's say their profit is 70 bucks. They can only give you 50, not 150 like you want.

Keep in mind how the economics of the situation. There is supply and demand on it. If you trade in something the big question gamestop will ask itself is, can I turn this around for a profit.... or will this sit in our backrooms until the end of time? It depends on the time at which you sold the system and a few other factors. Also did you go credit or cash?
Old 360 hd's aren't worth much anymore however, being that the slims are out. Makes them virtually obsolete.

I will admit sometimes the people that work there can be ******, but that is at any business. It isn't a perfect job, but I like to take pride in it.

The Wii U is actually really great, it just needs a bit more time for the really great games to roll out

Word of advice. Sell of your used games on ebay or craigslist. Gamestop will buy your used game for $10 and sell it for $50. You can sell that for about $35 and someone not wanting to pay Gamestop $50 for it will buy it.

It's litterally the employees job to push things like that. It helps with numbers and makes the store look better. Everytime someone comes in who doesn't have a membership and they walk out without one it hurts their numbers that day.

To be honest, a lot of complaints about Gamestop are a little exaggerated. I work there and enjoy my job. I have guys trade in games all the time and make a decent amount of money. But why the heck would we pay $20 for your game when we probably can't sell it for $10? It's not like you're being forced to sell it anyway.

Well this is from experience most people in the states over value their things. Most people that expect to get a large sums out of game also expect to get a job that the do not deserve and a life of bounty with no effort.

Dude there's a point when it's just ******* stupid. I bought a game for $60 and then a month later wanted to trade it in. They would have given me $5 for it. I wasn't expecting them to give me 50 bucks, but at least 30.

Everyone saying that you don't get much from Gamestop is full of ********. I went in there a few weeks ago and traded in three games (Battlefield 3, NASCAR: The Game 2011, and Crash of the Titans) and got ~$40 if you count the extra 10% as a pro member and the 50% bonus they had that the time. No bonuses and that's between $20 and $25.

So what you're saying, is that without the bonuses that you got, they would pay you between 10 and 15 percent of the original price? And you say that's not a terrible ripoff?
