Superman doesn't even have to get CLOSE to Bruce to beat him. Laser eyes from the skies with X-ray Vision and Super hearing to pinpoint him. In a universe where they'd not met yet, Superman would win. Only if they'd met before and Bruce had done research on Superman would he be able to go into the battle prepared for most everything Superman can throw at him, except for a building. Bruce would have to have confiscated some sort of teleportation device or magic item from another villain or borrowed it from another hero to get out of the way. In all honest, I think it'd be a stalemate if both were allowed to benefit from their abilities to the fullest.

Batman is a true superhuman.
Superman is not a human.
Tony Stark is extremely intelligent, like a lot of people.

I have yet to hear of a single person with a will as strong as Batman.

I forget who it was, but there was a villain who used the person's worst memories and fears in order to beat them.
He beat superman, he beat everyone, and then when he saw Batman's mind and his memories, he, the villain, broke, and Batman left him in a broken state.

source?
User avatar #246 to #241 - Crusader (08/21/2013) [-]
Not the source of the stuff I was talking about
But Batman was approached by the Green lantern Corps
But it didn't turn out to well because his Willpower was bent on revenge and justice instead of maintaining peace
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman%3a_In_Darkest_Knight

Batman also shows incredible Willpower when he breaks out of a dream that everyone else remains trapped in, my original point may have been based on this, but mixed with a drunken night with a few comic book nerds

superman without sun means no kryptonite weakness but kryptonians are still stronger and faster than an average human so yep.
User avatar #135 - rabaneristo (08/20/2013) [-]

Superman knows a martial art?

Yes. He is a master o 2 kryptonian martial arts, well versed in boxing and batman trained hem aswell.

Batman has the cheapest super power in the world:
That of the little **** on the playground who always suddenly had everything proof armor once you beat him in an imaginary game.

Superman can kill Batman from anywhere on Earth within less than a milisecond. Unless Batman attacks first and kills superman before Superman even notices the threat (pretty much impossible with faster-than-light reflexes and ability to hear and see anything), Superman wins.
User avatar #134 to #109 - spant (08/20/2013) [-]
Only the Flash thinks as fast as he moves, though, Superman still would ******* wreck and deck Batman.
#110 to #109 - anon (08/20/2013) [-]
Oh, also, an EMP may take out Iron Man, but a bullet from any gun ever made can kill Batman before he even hears the shot fired.

Batman is cool, but if you actually compare abilities, he loses to just about anyone.
User avatar #165 to #110 - daghost (08/21/2013) [-]
Also, it's stated in the comics that Tony has engineered his suit to be resistant to EMP's
User avatar #115 to #110 - generaljosh (08/20/2013) [-]
Don't say Batman has a cheap super power when Superman's power is having whatever powers the writers need to patch up a plot hole.
#130 to #115 - anon (08/20/2013) [-]
Sure, Superman is cheap, but he actually has a weakness, kryptonite and magic. Batman could kill an immortal, unkillable, god. Why? Because *************************************** 3000.
#122 to #115 - nofeelsdaily (08/20/2013) [-]
The irony here is that batmans armor and equipment has changed many more times than supermans powers have.

But the overall fact is, as cool as batman is... superman would kick his ass easy every-time.

User avatar #124 to #122 - generaljosh (08/20/2013) [-]
Of course Superman would win. But they're both fantasy settings, so "who would win" means approximately jack **** . What does matter is the character, and I would argue that a good character has to have at least some flaws.

Hell, I could make up a robot dongzilla that has a trillion miniature death stars attached to its face and is entirely made of kryptonite, but does that mean anyone wants to read about it?
User avatar #132 to #124 - RamzaBeoulve (08/20/2013) [-]
Superman has plenty of flaws. 'Not having a flaw' counts as one, if you want to go that route.
User avatar #129 to #124 - nofeelsdaily (08/20/2013) [-]
Oh don't get me wrong, batman is such a better character then superman could ever be.... for the main reason... well... he's the fooking batman! No explanation really needed
User avatar #105 - Wimbles (08/20/2013) [-]
I just don't care.

My biggest annoyance though is people constantly throwing Superman against Batman. Read through his list of powers both past and present and you'll find there is always something he can do to **** you over. He was built to be god like.

Hell, they had to invent a weakness to make him stoppable, then it turns out magic can effect him to!

I will always prefer Batman, I simply enjoy his stories more. At the centre he is human, and it makes things more compelling to me.

Iron Man though, I love his movies and the Ultimates version (mainly because the Ultimates version was pissed all the time for a cool reason.)

#111 to #105 - anon (08/20/2013) [-]
Oh really. They invented the weakness for a fictional character. I never would have guessed it. I guess all other characters already existed. Superman is the only one that had to be created.
User avatar #291 to #111 - Wimbles (08/21/2013) [-]
He had no weakness at first, it made him hard to write.
User avatar #103 - demandsgayversion (08/20/2013) [-]
Tony Stark is still a mechanical genius, and Superman is still pretty buff.
User avatar #104 to #103 - jackknapp (08/20/2013) [-]
But in a 1 on 1 fight where there is no time to make a machine to help you, Tony Stark would obviously lose in a fight with Batman without his suit. Take the sun out of the equation, and Superman is weak as **** . A super buff guy who knows martial arts > A super buff guy.
User avatar #168 to #104 - daghost (08/21/2013) [-]
Is everyone clinically retarded?

Superman knows like, 2 different Kryptonian martial arts and Tony is also a martial artist.
User avatar #106 to #104 - demandsgayversion (08/20/2013) [-]
You're assuming Stark doesn't already have a machine on him. I'm sure if he's without any money or his suit, he's got something.
User avatar #145 to #106 - kingron (08/20/2013) [-]
and I also think his suit is immune to emp weapons I mean have you've heard about
emp shielding, check this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_shielding
User avatar #97 - littlebangaa (08/20/2013) [-]
I don't get it. So Superman, without the sun, becomes weak? You have to take away the sun for him to be on equal ground with batman. But, if there is no sun wouldn't batman die as well? :/
Also, Krypto martial arts. Just an FYI
User avatar #102 to #97 - Wimbles (08/20/2013) [-]
Supermans powers come from being under a yellow sun, under a red sun he is no stronger than a normal human.

Ok, no powers no equipment.
Who all could spank Batman.
Wonder Woman's mother Hypolita. Proficient in martial arts taught to her by Athens, godess of tactical battle. 5000 years old, practicing every day. In WW2 she took down Captain Nazi single handed, with no powers at all.
Karate Kid. Master of all martial arts in year 3000, Went toe to toe with Superman without any powers.
Batgirl Cassandra Cain, Batman himself admitted she is about 3 levels over him.
Thor. Even though his favorite fighting style is "hit it with a hammer" he is 8000 year old warrior, who is nearly 7 foot tall and made of whipcord muscle. Has been trained in martial arts by Elven battle masters and Hachiman, japanese god of war.

Any of these without powers make a paste of Batman, if Batman is not alowed to use his bat-toys.
