Anything Forest Gump related always deserves a thumb in my book. One of the greatest movies ever produced.

Even with the fact that Jenni was a colossal bitch, I had feelings with a lot of scenes of the movie(including this one) specially when Forest is talking to Jen grave.......

Does that necessarily imply that the kid is mentally disabled? It's been a while since I've watched this film, so I don't remember the inflection, but it sounds like it could go either way. Still, excellent movie. Easily top 10. It'll make you feel every emotion there is.

Watched it. Yeah, it's sad, but it still sort of leaves that hanging, I don't get a "smartest kid in the special ed class" feel from her delivery or his reaction or the music or anything.

Maybe, but judging by that year alone you can probably rule out that he is not mentally slower than most like his father.

I'm really happy for you Forest Gump and Imma let you finish, but Apollo 13 is the best Tom Hanks movie of all time, of ALL TIME!

Forrest Gump is the only movie that could have beaten Pulp Fiction for the Oscars; because any other movie of that year wasnt as good as those two

One part of this scene that always makes me sad is how his voice sounds when he asks if his son is smart. You can just feel the hurt and fear in his voice, how it starts really shaking and he starts to stammer, and when you see his face you can tell he is trying his hardest not to cry. And when Jenny tells him that little Forrest is smart, you can just see the relief in his expression.

That movie has always been one of my very favorites since I was little. It's an amazing story.
