Okay okay okay, stop the bus. Because people seem to always see this scene of Forest Gump differently than I did.

What I saw:
Wasn't Jenny a complete whore? She spent pretty much the whole movie ******* random guys she met and had sex with forest ONCE before running off. Then years later she finds out she's dying and probably has nothing but a list of jerks and deadbeat guys who don't wanna be stuck raising a child (all of the guys we see her dating int he movie are assholes except forest.) So she gets forest to do it, telling him it's his son, knowing that he won't question it or mind raising a child. She knows despite his disability that he's a decent caring man.

What other people see:
Jenny has sex with dozens on random men, then with Forrest once, disappears for years then comes back and tells him that the ONE time they had sex years ago resulted in her having his son. oh and she's dying so he's gotta take care of him now.

Maybe I'm a little too much of a cynic but the impression I got watching the movie, was that Jenny basically grew up to be a manipulative terrible person who got what she deserved in the end. And Forrest loved her unconditionally despite that, same with her son.

But we really don't know he's not the father.

It just seems INSANELY unlikely. Jenny never gave a damn about Forrest after she hit puberty, at least- not that I saw in the movie. All she ever did was fall back on her harmless childhood friend when she was feeling down, and sleep around with a lot of other guys who seemed to only want her for sex anyway.

Anyone whose had a kid will tell you it almost never happens after having sex just one time. It's possible, but I'm not even sure the years match up properly from when Jenny disappeared to the age of the boy when Forrest went to see her.....

If I was a gambling man I'd bet every penny that Forrest wasn't the biological father. But what I found touching, was that he didn't really have to be. All he had to know was that he was Jenny's boy, and now he was his too.

But it does happen. I agree with the fact that it probably isn't his because of how big of a whore she was, but it is possible. My sister got pregnant the FIRST time she ever had sex. It only takes once.

It's incredible how you actually get feelings for someone that is actually fictional.
You feel so much for them so you might cry.

That means the writers/actors did their jobs in a book/screenplay. I love it when that happens too though

If I recall correctly, his son was not "special", not atleast in the book "Gump and Co" which was a sequal to Forest Gump. The plot of the book was a bit different thou (not much) so they might have changed it for the movie
