Yeah but with Portal 2 you can find the giant battle ship that gordon is going to aperture to find in the next half life game. And chell was released into the open so it's entirely likely Gordon will find her

You find the drydock of that science vessel, the Borealis, where the ship itself and parts of the dock had dissapeared into thin air. Gordon's on his way to the ship in its current location lodged in the ice somewhere.
The only thing you said there that was actually accurate was the last sentence.

I'm calling ******** on the 500,000 years between portal 1 and portal 2. Mainly because i looked online and didn't find anything to back this up. Specifically the Portal 2 wiki states that after a "considerable time" but doesn't specify any time frame. My theory is that it has only passed 20-50 years max, because the shed that she exits from has a sign that still has paint and is still legible. Not to mention that a wood shed wouldn't last 500,000 years.

Still pretty impossible. The vegetation would've completely destroyed the facility in 50,000 years. The vegetation we see in the game is plausible for less than 50 years.

i really dont have anything but when you wake up from sleep the cryogenic chamber says how much days you have been in stasis and it says 99999999999 (amusing it is not a robot glitch) that is about 2,739,726,027 or i could also be around 300 years you cant know and but GLaDOS was Activated around May 1998 and Gorden Freeman started working for black mesa on May 16 1998 (witch is a few days after GLaDOS flooded Aperture with Neurotoxin

Valve cannot be trusted.
GlaDOS cannot be trusted.
Announcer AI cannot be trusted.
It's definitely not thousands of years in the future. Pictures of Cave and furniture in old aperture labs would've been destroyed by that time. Or there is some Aperture Science Anti-rotting Gel[tm]. They cover everything in it and it doesn't rot away with time. 30-100 years maybe.

1st the 99999999999999 could be a bug much like the "press any key" blue screen we see during the game, plus there was a lot of vegetation that affected stuff in that area.
2nd The shed Chell exits from is still standing and metal doesn't last thousands of years out in the open.
3rd There are signs on the door of the shed that still have color and the writing is still legible
4th The furniture down on the cave wouldn't have lasted thousands of years.
5th The vegetation would've destroyed the facility completely given at least a thousand years. Yet we only see the vegetation for about 50 to 100 years.
6th If it were true that it would be 9999999999999 days, then by that time the cave would've collapsed due to tectonic plates movements or earthquakes.
7th Valve hasn't stated any number at all, the wiki only says "after a considerable time" which would be from 0 to infinity number of years.
I'm not saying i have definite proof that it was less than 100 years, but based on what I observed I can say that most likely it has only passed less than 100 years.
Plus after 999999999 number of days, you think you would see cities or the combine everywhere. To be honest it would be pretty disappointing if valve stated that it was after thousands of years, because it would make more sense for Chell to exit from aperture right about the time the Combine are defeated.

1st 999999999999 is not a it is a legitiment sentence the AI says
2nd It is not out in the open it is deep down in a consealed area
3rd They could have been painted with a paint that is non oxidatable
4th The furniture could be made out of material that could last a long time
5th vegetation did destroy some of the facility but not all of it because vegetation wouldn't have the capability of surviving deep down in the earth Lack of sunlight and water
6th It is not a cave
7th The Sauce is to prove that gorden freeman and chell playing together is still a possibilty
8th Aperture labs could be in a concealed unknown area in the world

1st the AI sounds like it's bugging out
2nd IT IS OUT IN THE OPEN Jesus Christ man, go look up the video and the shed is right there between wheat fields.
3rd The shed is definitely not painted
4th The furniture made out of some extraordinary material is just a huge stretch and nothing even hints to that so you're just making it up.
5th True, vegetation can't go very far down, but roots can. And they're not that deep which means they haven't had thousands of years worth of growing.
6th I know it's not a cave, it's a salt mine.
8th Aperture labs are located most likely in Michigan USA, which actually has salt mines in the real world. " In 1943, as Aperture Fixtures. The company originally sold shower curtains, and was extremely sucessful at it, which led its shortly after millionaire CEO Cave Johnson to buy a salt mine in Michigan, USA two years later in 1945, publicly stating he had plans to build something science related with it [1]

The earliest mention of Aperture Science dates from 1947, when they got they first award for the best new science company, so it's safe to assume the transition from shower curtains to science happened sometime after the salt mine was bought and before 1947.

1st just because its sounds that way doesnt mean it is
2nd thats not the cryogenic chamber chell wakes up in at the begining of the game is under ground in the salt mine
3rd Thats not the cryogenic chamber and also the shed isnt painted but the sign on the door is
4th We cant prove what the furniture is made out of so that argument lies closed
5th The roots are not that deep but remember its a salt mine salt stops the growth of roots and it may have taking them that long to grow an imunity to the salt and keep growing
8th It could be located in Michigan but i could be a concealed location in Michigan

1st Doesn't have to "mean" it's bugged, but the sounds surely points to it.
2nd I never said the shed was the cyrogenic chamber she was kept in, but surely you can understand that concrete nor metal can last thousands of years in the open.
3rd You just said the shed isn't painted, but the sign is. Further proof that not too much time has passed, hell there isn't even that much rust in the shed.
5th The roots are from a potato that grew pretty big to begin with due to the secret ingredient of Chell's dad.
6th How the hell is right there in the open a concealed location.
Various aspects that we already discussed are not evidence to say little time has passed.HOWEVER, those aspects POINT to it. There is more evidence that points to little time than evidence that points that there have passed 99999999999 days.

1st I agree on you there
2nd I thought you where talking about the Cryogenic chamber
3th It could be made out of anit oxidating metal (Very far fetched just a guess)
5th Are you talking abou the potato in portal 1?
6th Buy concealed i mean hidden

But i must say 1 thing we cant tell how much years have passed my guess would be 271 or 300 years but Sir I believe you have won this argument good job old chap
