You are referring to all black people. If you talked about one specific black person it would be an opinion. But you talked about all black people. Thus, you're racist.

How is that racist? There is no "one black race", there's dark skinned natives from every southern continent, and none of those are directly related to eachother. If he said African, okay, a little racist, but barely so since Africa consists of probably some 100+ races.

tl;dr DARK SKINNED PEOPLE IS NOT A RACE, LEARN THE DEFINITON OF RACISM

Heś being racist against all black people, that means all black races. If I say, for example, "Indians are dumb", it doesn't matter if I mean Asian Indians, USA Indians, Mexican Indians, Peruvian Indians, etc. I'm attributing an inherent dumbness to Indian people, and whether I mean that or not, all Indians could feel offended for my words, even if I wasn't referring to them, because I wasn't specifying. I don't have to say "Indians from Guatemala City are dumb" for it to be a racist comment, I just have to be referring to them as Indians and giving them a negative quality for the simple fact of being it.

Might have been more of a knee jerk reaction to some of the other reactions in the comments than to the content itself. I agree with the main comic's view that we should stop being dicks to each other and start being nice human beings. I don't agree with the comments below that claim people shouldn't be offended when people say offensive things in public to strangers because they were "just joking".

So, disregarding both Trayvon's race and Zim Zam's race...
I don't see why Zim Zam wasn't charged with anything. I understand he shot out of self defense, but isn't actually killing the kid a bit much? Wouldn't shooting the kid in the knee would have been enough?

I guess he thought Trayvon felt the gun during the struggle. I thought that too, but I guess Zimmerman said during court that it was either Trayvon or himself, someone was gonna use the gun. Might be true, might not, but I'm okay with it.

I think the true problem of the this case is the crazy ass laws in the sunshine state, the problem is that this was legal under the law when it is such a moral and legal grey area.

Florida's self defense law that was used in the Zimmerman case is a mirror image of every other state. If you're talking about stand your ground it didn't apply to the trial.

Because he didn't do anything illegal because evidence didn't support any valid justification for charging him with anything.

The negroids that went crazy for a few days though did not seem to care about the jury's decision though.

Because shooting someone in the leg implies you don't completely fear for your life. Zimmerman would be in jail right now if he had done that.

Why do people say stuff like this? You have a huge artery behind your knee. Shooting him in the knee isn't a big improvement over shooting him in the chest. There's basically no place to aim that can't be fatal. You can try shooting people in the feet or hands, but that too can be fatal.

As far as Zimmerman, he could have shot at Martin's knee, but I'm not sure that would have been any better for Martin than aiming at his chest, and if he did try and fire at Martin's knee, he may have shot himself.

racism and sexism won't stop till we stop talking about it....

Not necessarily...It'd be more accurate to say racism and sexism would go away if people would drop all pre-conceived notions about race and sexuality that were spoon fed to them at birth, in addition to not judging people based off of those things. Even a person with nothing but good intentions can hold harmful assumptions because they're considered "truths." But since that won't happen, we have to talk about it.

This is pure gold. Racism happens because people talk about the problems of it. Ok, Einstein. I guess we should start pretending no one gets mistreated or abused and then it'll just go away.

Or just stop caring all together...
Why care about other peoples' opinion?
Why should you care?
Obviously, they don't know you good enough and therefore their opinion is invalid

That kid didn't really mean it when he threw a rock at you and called you a f*ggt. Don't call him out for it. Why should you care? If he knew the true you, he wouldn't be mean to you. Also, don't talk to him or anyone else about this situation. People get mistreated all the time and the best thing we should do is ignore it.

My state just enacted a law that makes everyone... "gender neutral" and I think it's ******* retarded that it's a law. Just respect eachother without prejudice, how ******* hard is that?! apparently so hard it has to be made into a law. :/

It seem to me like alot of the people calling racism or sexism are the ones bringing race and sex into the equation when the topic isn't even related to any of that.

If calling a black person black is racist, then calling a man, a man is sexist.

tough that self-important assholes cry "sexism!" or "racism!" or "homophobia!" so often that actual, superficially-based bigotry goes unnoticed. it's like the boy who cried wolf but the boy is a minority group and the wolf is hatred

This does not define racism or sexism at all. Racism is saying these things about a person or group simply based off their race. Don't try and ******* tell me that every time I insult a black person or woman that's its racist or sexist, but there are people out there who truly believe that all people of one race or one sex fall under the same categories. These are the people that should be confronted

We're assuming that everyone is talking exactly the same in this situation. Tone is a big influence on what is perceived as hurtful to other people. It seems everyone nowadays is so concerned with being the "victim" of the other groups. The only reason white men seem to be the center of it is that for the longest time, that was the main reason for groups (i.e. minorities, women) felling oppressed. That doesn't mean it's right or fair for anybody, but you have to understand where these misconceptions can come from. I would also like to state that I agree with the message being put across, it's much better than all this bigoted nonsense.
