So how comes when Gandalf defeated the Balrog and died or whatever he did. Why did he come back as Gandalf the White? If he's powerful as balls who could take Sarumans place if he wanted, why would turning into Gandalf the white make him stronger etc.

All the five wizards had colors of their robes you know? Gandalf the grey saruman the white, etc... The colors were a ranking system with white being the most powerful. When Saruman went over to the dark side, he casts away his white robes and starts using a "robe of many colors" some magic/gay pride thing that had a bunch of colors to it as a way of saying that he is the best guy ever. When Gandalf died the Valar sent him back to finish his mission and gave him more power/white robes to help him and take Sarumans place as the leader of the Wizards

lol yes i know they had their own colours (well blue and a different shade of blue)
Is that in the film? Because it looks like Sarumon still wears the white robes or is it a metaphorical thing?
What i meant was gandalf is suppose to be so powerful (I read he could destroy the whole of Middle Earth if he wanted to or some ****) hence the first person chose to be leader of the council thing. (which went to Sarumon) Hence Gandalf even as Grey should be more powerful than Sarumon? That right?
But is it because he destroyed the Balrog that the valor sent him back? Since when Sarumon dies he doesn't get sent back and i would think his mission was also to help middle Earth?

These make me want to reread the LotR, as well as all of Tolkein's work on Middle Earth. Another fun fact, four songs by Led Zepplin: The Battle of Evermore, Ramble On, Misty Mountain Hop and Bron-Y-Aur Stomp are inspired and even allude to LotR.

Dwarves.
Tolkien's word is dwarves, my friend.
English said "dwarfs", but Tolkien didn't like it.

Just posting here cause i can: Gandalf was the strongest out of the five Istari (wizards) and the wisest. But he was also humble, and Galadriel and Elrond knew of his power but everyone else believed that Saruman was the strongest of the 5 wizards due to his power of speech and the metal work he could do.

TLR Gandalf is a bad ass ************

You could also mention that Sauron's appearance wasn't described in the books. They took old artwork of Melkor (Sauron's former master) as inspiration for his appearance in the movies.

On a side note. Gandalf makes these references in the book as well. This scene was ripped straight from the book. There were some differences yes, but they were mostly minor.

Went to see lotr in cinema.
The fight with the fire monster was cool.
Went to see sequels, expected more cool monsters. Got lame ghosts and talking trees.
Dissapoint.
