Here are my two cents to this post, and I'm ready for a **** load of down votes or red thumbs or what ever the **** you wanna call them. I don't think that she's is saying that this man is afraid in a bad way, but is using this as an example of how men can be afraid in the face of danger, and won't always do what they say they will, such as most of us will do to "impress" them. For example, I knew some kid who said that he would join the army, but when something like what's happening in the picture happens to him, he would go "all Rambo on their asses" implying that he is not afraid if his. But what this post could be trying to say is that men are afraid too, men aren't as strong as they say they are, and are not as brave as they say they are. While this could be the wrong interpretation, this is what I believe she is trying to say, but ****** it up pretty bad in the process, sorry about the wall of text, so have an army related lol

correct me if im wrong but when a man passes a kidney stone isnt that pain comparable to child birth depending on the stone size?
User avatar #274 to #272 - thechosentroll (06/30/2013) [-]
Yes, mainly because the human brain releases natural painkillers during birth. It does jack **** when you pass a kidney stone.

Not being afraid makes a man crazy. Over coming that fear is what define bravery.

I think it can be taken as sensative as well as insulting; perhaps men need encouragement now and then? Perhaps they're not as strong as women expect them to be, and that scares them. Maybe they're afraid that they are not as fearless as society expects them to be, and when their little girl asks them to hold her and keep the nightmares away, he's afraid that he can't, because he has just as many nightmares as she.

I'm almost certain that he probably **** himself the second that shell or gunfire blasted the edge of the trench. More over, I can promise you that this man is ******* terrified.

Being a soldier, however, means not worrying about that massive load you just dropped because you almost had your head misted by a spray of gunfire. You have a job to do, people to protect, and lives to save. No one else is going to do it for you, so swallow that fear. embrace it, and do your god damned job like no one else can.

That is what being brave is.

I don't think OP understands that the wench was trying to say that true men aren't afraid to show what they truly feel, even if it does make them look vulnerable. Anyone else think everyone being just a bit too harsh on this woman, who probably didn't come up with quote herself?

Yeaaaa, but this is the internet. We can only take the exact literal meaning of what she said and not look into it further for the actual intent.
