It is also interesting how people have taken the word SWAG and totally misuse it. In pirate days it meant treasure not being stupid because you have swag.

You know on the making things non-violent discussion, why haven't we been making fun of warm bodies, the zombie version of twlight?

Because, unlike Twilight, it's actually really well-written book. I didn't see the movie, but I've heard good things.

its about a zombie that...becomes... not a zombie anymore... just the concept itself is terrible.

The zombie epidemic in Warm Bodies is a metaphor for a lack of independent thought and the dangers of stagnation and promoting hostility and vitriol. I was skeptical at first, too, and had the exact same thought. The fact that the novel's cover has an endorsement by Stephanie Meyer did not help. But, never judge a book by its cover fits this ever so well. Seriously, read the novel. It's really good.

call me simple-minded or whatever, but of the contants you should have for myths, one of a zombie's is that it is violent and certainly not curable by.. what keeping it as a pet until it humanises? The premise of it just puts bad taste in my mouth.

The zombie "myth" is an entirely modern creation that barely resembles the Haitian folklore from which it is derived.

Bottom line, read the book instead of watching a one-minute movie trailer.

Inner city gangsters would **** their pants in the mere presence of a real pirate.

They'd have nightmares and PTSD for the rest of their life if they saw a fraction of what most pirates saw on a daily basis.

Pirates thought of their venture more like business than criminal acts.
I think i read somewhere they even left a card so the ship knew who they where dealing with, but i dont think that last part is true.

Pirates were actually fun loving explorers who stole from the rich and gave to the poor, they also were known to give out candy to children. Their name was slandered by christian propaganda. I am happy that people are now seeing the light and returning to traditional pirates.

if you like pirates, check out the mmo uncharted waters. it's pretty good, if not bothered by wasting hours sailing from one side of the world to another

I remember reading of a town in which pirates illegally traded in
all the townsfolk turned away from the pirates when they brought stolen cargo in so they could enjoy lower prices.
