So that none of what happened before the drowning can happen.

Dies, died, will die.

GLaDOS doesn't really count as an escort though...

I actually really didn't like Clementine.

I just felt like every choice surrounding her in the game, was very black or white.
If you made any sort of choice she didn't like or agree with, the game was like; "OMG, YOU MONSTER".

Yeah, I get that she was a little kid, and that she needed protection.
But so was Duck, and the game didn't punish or reward me for the choices surround him, that was just; "nah, you do what you gotta do".

The "game"interactive movie was stupid.
#330 to #270 - Rascal (06/29/2013) [-]
I wouldn't say it's stupid, but like I did say, it's very black and white at times.

I'm still waiting for a "choose your own" game, where the choices you make actually matter in some way more than just a minor difference to the ending.
#222 - Rascal (06/28/2013) [-]
Because the Escort mission is the entire ******* game.

Or half of the game in Portal 2's case.

Realized my comment was a bit of a spoiler, sorry. Before anyone starts, I know there is SOMEONE out there who hasn't played Portal 2 yet. I didn't get to play it until a few years after it came out.

But I do like the bottom left one the most.

Can we just take a moment
And realize how similar The Last of Us is to Bioshock Infinite?
Contains spoilers for Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us(just the beginning spoilers but you get me).
Both Joel and Booker Dewitt are voiced by Troy baker.
Both have to assist an African American woman who is leading a rebellion.
Both lose their daughter.
Both take on the role of a man whose job it is to get a girl somewhere.
One of those being named Elizabeth, the other Ellie.
Both have mushroom people.
Wait that’s Mario.
Well you get the idea. I’m sensing these similarities and I kind of like it.

NOT MINE. Got it from Cryotics Tumbler cryaotic.tumblr.com/post/53217465236/can-we-just-take-a-moment

Ya but ellie actually does **** ... I think, Honestly I may be wrong (Haven't played the last of us) But I was kinda pissed that Elizabeth never picked up a gun to help... Though I guess it was part of her character :/

Also the Last of Us has some similarities to the Walking Dead game too
-SPOILERS SERIOUSLY-
Both are in charge of a girl
Both girls have to be protected (but for different reasons)
Both girls shoot someone for the first time and have an unpleasant experience with it
Both girls become friends with a boy their age who dies (AND the boys are bitten, but get shot)
Both relatives to the boys shoot themselves
In the Walking Dead, if you didn't kill Ben at the clock tower, he falls off a balcony and gets a fatal wound when he's pierced in the chest by shrapnel
In the Last of Us Joel wrestles with a guy and falls of a balcony and gets a fatal wound when he's pierced through the chest by shrapnel.
At some point, both girls are kidnapped (Clemmy by the stranger, Ellie by those guys she was trying to lead away from Joel)
That's all the similarities I've noticed so far, since I haven't finished the Last of Us yet.
Oh yeah, and both are amazing games <3

well they're not the only games to use that formula, look at resident evil 4. last half of the game involves escorting a girl

Never understood that. You could gut them for slugs in the first game, but their just awesome sauce in the second. They musta gotten an upgrade or something.

No, a few of the splicers were very smart. The two bosses from the first game, the actor and the freezer-guy, showed a lot of intelligence. They were just *************** crazy.

fair, fair, but you would think that, if their prime directive is the acquisition of Adam, they would know where the slug is...
