It wouldn't be that weird considering he could "shape shift"

What's weird is that he chose to be the mare when "making" Sleipnir.

Is there a website that is just Norse Mythology? I want to study it but my local libraries have nothing.

I've found most of what I know by just googling individual names and following links.
I suspect you might find what you're looking for under a search for 'Norse Legends' or some variant thereof.
Hope you find them, It's a great read and mildly insightful.

Wonder why everyone is so hellbent on calling him jormungandr... a lot more common for him to be called the worm of midgard.. at least where people use it on a day to day basis

Hel is his daughter. Her apperance is half human half skeleton (cut down vertically). She is the goddess of the 9 relms of the afterlife (non-war death).

You're welcome. I simply love mythology, although I tend to only remember finer details in myths that revolve around the gods.

I would but I have no idea where to find it beside do something like order it off of Amazon. Anyway, if you have read the Odyssey you should read the Iliad as well, since Odyssey is kinda like a sequel to it.

Does anyone know a good book that I can read about the Norse myths? One where it was chronological would be really cool, but I'm not sure there is a set chronology. One where it is just various stories would be cool too.

Sorry about he libraries.

I don't really know any English titles since I read them in Danish...
But I'm sure a quick googling will result in many qualified books.

well if you can speak one of the old tongues like faroese/icelandic you can read the original eddas without too much trouble. when it gets translated it loses alot of its meaning. there are GLARING innaccuracies even on wikipedia...
