No one ever mentions Oregon.
Also, The Multnomah Falls have a funny story behind them. There was a boulder that was like 400 tons(?) that fell behind the bridge while a wedding party was taking photos and the wave washed over the bridge and soaked them... Okay, well, it's only kind of funny.

I live in Multnomah County, and there are wayyyy better waterfalls in Oregon. Up in the Opal Creek wilderness there are pools of water 80 feett deep that you would think were only 5 because you can see right to the bottom.

It was hard to find one that would fit.
Also, it's a tourist destination (there's ferries out to it) so I don't think Japan would be willing to sell.
