Green thumb for Chesterton. The biggest literary bad ass to ever exist!

Tolkien and C.S. Lewis have been quoted saying these things as well. The reality of fairy tales is irrelevant, it shows the sublime wonders of a world beyond. Truth is truth, it can be proposed in any reality. What is all art, whether painting or writing, but glimpses of a structures of unseen aesthetic realities?

G.K Chesterton is probably one of the most underrated writers of all time.

I'll be the guy that points out the actual quote is " Fairy tales, then, are not responsible for producing in children fear, or any of the shapes of fear; fairy tales do not give the child the idea of the evil or the ugly; that is in the child already, because it is in the world already. Fairy tales do not give the child his first idea of bogey. What fairy tales give the child is his first clear idea of the possible defeat of bogey. The baby has known the dragon intimately ever since he had an imagination. What the fairy tale provides for him is a St. George to kill the dragon. Exactly what the fairy tale does is this: it accustoms him for a series of clear pictures to the idea that these limitless terrors had a limit, that these shapeless enemies have enemies in the knights of God, that there is something in the universe more mystical than darkness, and stronger than strong fear. "

The quote used in the photo is actually atributed to Neil Gaiman.

To be fair, Gaiman was just paraphrasing Chesterton.

I'm sorry, but I don't think Gardevoir should be Fairy type.

Red thumbs are welcome

In the next Pokemon games, there is a new type, Fairy. It's super-effective against Dragons. People are happy about this, because previously only Ice-types and other dragons were super-effective.

No, people are angry because Dragons could already be beaten by Ice, Rock and other Dragons and now comes this stupid fairy type.

Well, Electric has literally one weakness, and no one bitches about that. Personally, I see no issue with the fairy type. It sounds interesting. Except I really don't see Gardevoir as being one.

I'm sure glad I use mainly poison type teams, cause it seems everyone is going to switch to Fairy type Pokemon instead of dragons and I think Fairy type will be weak against Poison and Steel.

Why would I jump to fairies? Dragons are still dragons. I'll still use them.

I read it, thought nothing much of the picture and clicked next, but as my page transferred, I read the description, "This quote gains a whole new meaning after the recent reveal of the-" and then my page loaded. Im thinking like, "HOLY ****?! WHAT DID THEY DISCOVER?!". I frantically click back to the page, only for it to say fairy type.
