Person A has AIDS and Person B does not. Person A will be Male and Person B will be Female(it does not matter whether you are gay or straight. It is about protection and the type of sex[anal, oral, or vaginal] that you engage in.)

If they have unprotected anal sex, then Person B has a 25% chance of catching AIDS.

If they have unprotected vaginal sex, then Person B has a 0.2% chance of catching AIDS.

There reason for this is that you can only contract AIDS from blood to blood contact(Semen counts if you are infected, but Vaginal fluid only counts when you are infected). Anal sex, even if performed gently, often leads to anal fissures which bleed. If Person A ejaculates into Person B anally and they have an anal fissure(which sometimes you may not even feel), they have a high chance of getting infected. If A & B have vaginal sex and there are no tears in the vaginal walls, it is highly unlikely that B will contract AIDS.

The reason that many perpetuate the ridiculous idea that homosexuals are the only ones spreading AIDS is because gay men exclusively have anal sex. Heterosexual people spread AIDS as well both vaginally and anally, it's just not as common.

In fact, the first person to contact AIDS was a female flight attendant who had a layover in Africa. She slept with a man who had intercourse with an animal and contracted the disease that way. She then returned to North America and spread it to her other partners, some of whom were bisexual and that's how it entered the gay community. It spread faster there due to the fact that they exclusively had unprotected anal sex(STIs/STDs were not common before the late 70's and early 80's so condom were only used for pregnancy).

Unprotected anal sex the most, that's why it's more prominent in homosexual males.

Roughly 10% of the population is thought to be gay, that's including lesbians, logically the most prominent cases of HIV through anal sex has to be Straight males.

Right, back then, the gay community got hit hard with it. Why? Well, if you can't get pregnant, there's less reason to use a condom. So it spread like wildfire since nobody knew what the deal was with it back then.

Here is a fact; Freddie Mercury got aids because he either ****** ass or got ****** himself. Rage all you want, there is no denying it.

Because of flagrantly promiscuous, unprotected sex with multiple partners over many years. It's self-destruction at it's most tragic.

i think it is wrong to not tell people close to you that you have AIDS. I also feel less sympathy for him then people who dies of ... lets say cancer because Freddie could have prevented it if he was either more careful with who he had sex with or used protection.

It was the late 80's when the disease was just starting to grow at a larger scale. People back then didn't realize the danger because it wasn't as common. This is why people now are more cautious. This is what you are missing. He didn't tell many people because he didn't want people to worry. It's not like he was going out and ******* anything that had a pulse.

Perhaps he didn't tell those close to him because of judgemental ***** like you who would say it was his own damn fault, when, perhaps, he was using protection and it wasn't effect, or a partner lied about their HIV status. Truly, it's no one's business but yours and your partners.

it is not judgmental to want to know someone close to you has HIV so you can be a bit more cautious.

Condoms are only about 90% effective against HIV transmission. There is a one in ten chance that, even if a condom is used correctly, a person will contract HIV. Those are some pretty ****** odds. Might not be safe to assume that he developed AIDS due to poor decision making.

I normally don't thumb up feels posts cause most of the time i don't find them that moving. This time i did; I was moved.

i was conflicted because my feeling on clicking the thumb up button....it's like laughing at the story. in the sense that i have no problem with nudity but I don't feel comfortable getting naked in public.

On 24th of November 1991 the world lost a great man, a legend. And no matter how much we cry, shout or feel, we can't bring him back. We can only give him the respect that he deserves.
That said I'm still weeping, goddammit OP...

The world never loses people like Freddie Mercury. Gone though he is from our world, his achievements and his band leave him timeless.
