User avatar #195 to #194 - shadowbreech (05/26/2013) [-]
No it's Bacon. I think Bacon deserves a capital letter, and I'm going to give it one!!!

this is an Azerty keyboard, which we use in Belgium and France.
And I must say, it is quite hard too have the right controls on games, since some games even ignore azerty keyboards. And so the keys just show up as wasd instead of zqsd. In some cases we also have QWERTY keyboards, or the keyboard configuration sometimes changes on computers, so suddenly you're typing qwerty. Annoying as hell

I still call "hashtag" "pound" ...

Am I alone?
User avatar #182 to #174 - cormy (05/26/2013) [-]
To be clear, the hash is the symbol. Hashtags are specific to tagging systems using the hash symbol.
User avatar #223 to #182 - gmarrox (05/26/2013) [-]
In America the symbol is called a pound, not a hash.

User avatar #39 - aabbccddeeffgghhii (05/25/2013) [-]
Well, from now on, when ever anyone new to gaming asks me how they move - "Oh thats easy. Eagle to go left, Eagle to go right and Eagle for forwards and back. Simple!" "... I don't want to play anymore"

I looked down to check if my keyboard as freedom spelled out...

Nothing compared to a swiss keyboard. We've got everything for german, british, american, french and spanish!
User avatar #244 to #240 - turbohysteria ONLINE (05/26/2013) [-]
You don't have the letter ñ, just saying
User avatar #245 to #244 - tharod (05/26/2013) [-]
Watch the key left of Backspace. There's a ~ which you can put on the letters needed. ñã etc.
User avatar #242 to #240 - Rockaman (05/26/2013) [-]
You have a Qwertz keyboard instead of Qwerty - sounds more awesome!
User avatar #246 to #242 - tharod (05/26/2013) [-]
Thats because z is way more common in german than y
User avatar #147 - joshlol (05/26/2013) [-]
That is a mac keyboard and does not have a hash by the enter like typical UK keyboards, it's alt + 4 If I remember right, or command 4
User avatar #102 - ireallylikepotatoe (05/26/2013) [-]
I'm English. the $ sign is above the letter 4 on my keyboard and I never realised that it was different for other people.

This post has changed my life.

I may have slightly messed up there.

Excuse me as I punish myself for failing the English language. Next time you hear from me expect me to have no tongue.

#2 to #1 - anon (05/25/2013) [-]
The same as yours except our 3 has the #, and we don't have the pound, and our 2 only has the @ sign

Woah. That's really odd :I you kooky Americans
#31 to #3 - anon (05/25/2013) [-]
well we never have to use the "pound" sign. (# is called a pound sign oddly enough.) And if you desperately need to, there's an alt code for it. You can't pay for things in pounds easily in the U.S.
#47 to #31 - freakanator (05/25/2013) [-]
we never use the dollar sign, but we at least have the decency to put it on there

cause sometimes you dont have a ******* mouse dude, my mouse broke before and i didnt have one for a month, that button is really ******* usefull, you can just tab your way around the computer

i know that feel bro, i actually didnt have a mouse and had to use tab for everything for like 3 weeks... they probably needed a button and didnt have a better idea of what to use

It's called "Application" key or something. If your mouse fails, you can depend on your keyboard that way for most things.
User avatar #25 - galkawhm ONLINE (05/25/2013) [-]
Hash tag?

That's a pound symbol or a number symbol.
User avatar #36 to #25 - koopakilla (05/25/2013) [-]
the person said "how do you hashtag" they know it isnt the name of the symbol, hash tag is an action on twitter and other social websites, not so much a symbol.
