I want a game. where you play as a bunch of cops that are bored on second/third shift and their only objective of the game is to go into alleys and threaten homeless people and if they run you just pull out a nightstick and beat the living crap out of him and you get an xray report at the end of every night and you just laugh away as you get a paycheck for being a dick.
its kind of an open world game.

Quickscoping isn't a pro-tactic... when you've done it enough... you just stop using the scope at all for close fighting... you instinctively know where your bullets will go when you fire.

i know this probably isnt what happens in the game, but my guess( if you wanted to try to apply real world logic) is that when youre holding the rifle at your hip its hard to control the gun. when youre holding it up in an aiming position you have more control over it.

Yeah, but technically it isn't from the hip. The character shows you have the stock up against your shoulder. Plus, it's still pretty inaccurate even if your just ONE foot away form the wall.

Let me ask you this then, if I were to snipe you down with a grenade launcher (and by snipe, I mean lob a grenade 150+ feet away while I'm trying to catch your ass and knife you), and have that grenade hit you at the base of your neck, and kill you instantly, without need of any of the explosive perks you receive in CoD, and I am able to do this consistently, with few errors. Does that make me a noobtuber with no skill, or a professional gunman who doesn't believe that overkill is overrated?

Speak for yourself, not for everyone.

I used to lead a competitive sniping clan that reached 12th in europe at one point, we did it for competitive and team building purposes in no way did we think we were showing off.

Trickshotting also requires a whole lot of skill and is mostly used in montages and other various videos. It's nothing to do with showing off, it's fun.

Sorry that you have such a blind hatred for a widely populated community.

Except that "trick shots", mostly quick-scoping, isnt based on skill but the small amount of auto-aim the game provides as you zoom in. It isnt skill, its shooting fast enough for it to count.

I dont think he has a terrible argument. The whole point of this post was hating on people that dislike when you use the sniper the right way. This guy simply enjoys quickscoping and trick shotting. Its not easy to do, it really isint.

Anyway, its not wrong to dislike it either but this guy doesnt deserve to be thumbed down for liking quick scoping. he never said he doesnt like people who hard scope.

Really fast hardscoping
Really fast scoping
Quick scoping
Quickscoping
Quickscoping = Really fast hardscoping

This is how nicknames are invented.

Actually, the term hardscoping came after the fact as an alternative to quickscoping, so this makes even less sense.
I don't play COD or anything, this was just a stupid and redundant comment.

At one point on MW2 (I know, faggot for playing CoD) I was sitting with my Barret on Highrise right under the chopper, taking people out as they crossed the windows from their spawn. Mind you, there's a longer way behind that was completely safe to go through and get to me, just they didn't use it. I died like twice to noob-tubes or something but got back fairly quick. After the round ended, some kid was bitching about me hardscoping and essentially keeping them locked in their spawn area for most of the game because they're idiots.

In the next round I got behind some barrels looking at their spawn again, and did the -same- thing, only this time I ended up finally getting my perfectionist title and ending the game with about 20 or so kills and perhaps 5 or 6 deaths. All because I know how to use snipers.

do you know what really grinds my gears

zoning in fighting games, i know it is a strategy to win but does everyone who can't combos really need to resort to turning the game into a chase to beat the pussy, then it gets frustrating.

its called a fighting game for a reason people, if you want to shoot **** then play a ******* FPS

There are characters in many fighting games who's sole purpose is to zone as that's how their characters were built. Don't get pissy when people use a mechanic that's accepted in the game, because that sir makes you an asshole.

This is true for Guile, everyone gives him **** because of how he plays due to the fact he's a heavy zoner.

but sometimes, when a character has more moves to utilize other than the ones for zoning, and all they do is zone, that's complete ********.

Its the best game in the market because the people that play video games today don't know how to respect a games overall qualities. The ONLY reason its is the so called best in the market is because there are a lot more little children in this world that play the games and they think its fun. So the producers keep the coding for it copied and ready to paste into another game. The only thing they do is go through, clean up the bugs, redesign the equipment, ranks, perks, and maps. Throw in a set of weapons that is superior. Then they add a few new ones for each and give it a different story with cooler gadgets and kill-streak rewards. They do design the new maps, which is really why it takes so long to release the next one. Once they have redesigned the old game and put the pile of garbage onto a disk, they sell it, saying that is a completely new game and everything is a lot better than it was before. They don't try to make it on a different engine or give people a variety of game play. Its all the same run and gun with SMGs and Assault Rifles. THAT IS NOT TACTICAL. There is no ******* skill involved and that is why so many people play it. All you need is the highest rank and you have anything you need to do good. Teams are the most useless thing in the COD games. It just allows other people to get in the way and steal your kills. There is no skill anywhere near the COD franchise, not even in the development process.

Now, if you think that COD is tactical you need to play another game once in a while and redefine what tactical actually means. Tactical is having a SPECIFIC battle plan, such as telling a squad to pop smoke and lay down suppressive fire on them, while 'we' flank left. I'll throw smoke in the street, then you move up the right flank.
Details. Details. Details.

I know that COD is fun. I loved it for years. But now I want some realism.

The same goes for those who whine over campers.
I mean you know where they are, so you just counter them by throwing a nade at them or flank them.. Honestly if you can't deal with a camper, then your simply not suited to play call of duty, or any other fast paced shooter..

What you say is true, but only once they've killed you or if you happened to see them kill somebody. Before they kill you they're often sitting just behind a crate or inside a doorway so you have no way to know that they're there until you're within arm's reach, usually with your back to them. After that, if you keep going back and getting killed by them, you have no right to complain.

I don't have that problem, as im constant looking at the minimap. And you thankfully can't hide from the UAV in Blops 2 without moving, so most of the time i know where the campers are.
Besides if you change your playstyle a little, and remmber to check rooms then it's much less of a problem
