What if the trainers also have a diagonal view point?

Everyone has their own opinions on pokemon. I was born in '92 and i basically grew up with Gen2-4. I absolutely LOVE the 5th generation but i can't get enough of the gen4 games. Gen4 is probably the best because the graphics are all about the same between gen4 and 5 plus you have Sinnoh with some of the strongest pokemon and previous 1st gen evolutions and a redo of the Johto region.

To be 100% honest. Nintendo and Game Freak are stalling the **** outta everything. If they would just make a Pokemon MMO game with all the generations with a TON of gyms and Pokemon Leagues in which players are forced to battle others for top honors like the anime, then Pokemon would be complete. They can have special updates for the MMO such as when they have a new generation with new gyms and pokemon that you pay for like a DLC is.

the problem with an all region thing is you would have everything level 100 by the third region

i don't really get this fuss with diagonal movement aside from it being a little bit faster... he could've just as easily avoided her by walking traditionally around her back.
User avatar #157 - abcz (05/16/2013) [-]
so sorry but i don't get the joke, is it that the game isn't pixelated anymore?

I think it's that he's moving diagonally.

i haven't seen diagonal movement in a pokemon game since Colosseum, XD, The ranger games or the mystery dungeon games
User avatar #39 to #37 - heartlessrobot (05/16/2013) [-]
Colosseum was ******* awesome. My two favorite pokemon as starters too.

i couldnt stand how the pokemon you could catch were pre decided
User avatar #82 to #59 - reican (05/16/2013) [-]
but you could choose which ones to train to be the ultimate team and choose which to just purify,
#87 to #82 - ddylann (05/16/2013) [-]
i also hated purifying them
User avatar #90 to #87 - reican (05/16/2013) [-]
it was easier in XD though
#147 to #90 - ddylann (05/16/2013) [-]
really? how so, i never played xd
User avatar #150 to #147 - reican (05/16/2013) [-]
well you can use already purified pokemon and put them together with shadow pokemon and by spending time with normal pokemon it's heart gauge opened while you were doing something else, like catching a few wild ones ( only a few places)
#152 to #150 - ddylann (05/16/2013) [-]
there were wild pokemon in xd?
User avatar #154 to #152 - reican (05/16/2013) [-]
not many, a few places and you had to put out bait, then when a pokemon is there your PDA will make a notification.
there were 3 spots, a cave, a desert and an oasis. but there were only a few pokemon.

also a few new places in XD including a harbor and a mansion.

The thing i'm going to miss is the camera angle. I liked the birds eye view right above the head better than this high over the shoulder view. It's more of a 70 degree angle rather than 90.

Posts picture of a virtual world. Real or fake. Considered real by most commenters.
User avatar #185 to #184 - jokeface (05/16/2013) [-]
The joke is that the character is running diagonally. In all previous Pokemon games you were gridlocked, only able to go vertically or horizontally. So this diagonal **** is new and alien to us.
User avatar #187 to #185 - cabbagemayhem (05/16/2013) [-]
I know, but it's still a virtual world. The point is we get so immersed in games we forget they're not even real themselves.
User avatar #189 to #187 - grrphc (05/16/2013) [-]
No, it's a joke.

its obvious by now they have run out of ideas, now it just shooting a horse repeatedly with four separate guns and then reloading firing another clip and then kicking it for another 4 years´╗┐ and calling it something new.

Just like Call of Duty

Meh. They still make money. I'm one of the saps that buys every new CoD game, but I can't help it. I really enjoy them. But everyone knows indie games are where it's at.
#18 to #14 - anon (05/16/2013) [-]
Ran out of ideas, oh of course this is nothing new is it on black and white, there is no new diagonal movement, or graphics engine, or the ability to play it in 3-D or a metric **** ton of new pokemon, or a whole new area to explore, or a completely different set of game mechanics as the diagonal movement allows for more advanced travel and puzzles
User avatar #20 to #18 - mymiddleleg (05/16/2013) [-]
I dont like puzzles
