yup, when i went to Tokyo these girls were everywhere. not only that but people will dress in cosplay when there is no event on. it was brilliant, oh and in japan its the girl who takes the guy out on dates, so if you are male you will have a great time! i barely paid for any drinks while i was there. Osaka is also amazing but Kyoto is most beautiful.

haha, it will really blow your mind. i have traveled and really enjoy a culture shock, but japan was by far my favorite of all. i went to china before flying to japan and its amazing to see the huge differences between the two. make sure you see the imperial palace, go to Harajuku for the amazing cosplay and Roppongi for the night life. i can honestly promise you if you are male (especially if you are white) you will have girls all over you. i shaved my head due to the humidity and they wouldnt leave me alone, its considered quite rebellious there apparently. oh and you will get dragged to karaoke

a big beard will get you some attention, to say they are probably more quirky than any other country, they do find other cultures fascinating. ah well you have 1 up on me because i didnt know much Japanese, just basic small talk. enough to get me by though. well when you do go i hope you have a great time (you will!)

no problem at all i love to reminisce about it. if you are looking for work i believe a basic English teaching (online TEFL course) could help you. i wanted to do the same, there is a high chance by partner will be relocated there with the company she works for within the next year so will move with her if that happens! good luck dude.

You walk into the wrong floor of a building (or, like, the wrong three or four floors) and you find yourself in a seedy porn shop of one kind or another, surrounded by sweaty Japanese dudes.

The maid cafe's there are usually full of creepy businessmen and N.E.E.T.s, and everything is overpriced.

Also, the people in the arcades are competitive as hell.

Yeah, it's basically 100% like they show it in anime. xD

Because OreImo is the only anime that involves Akihabara.

Does your name happen to represent the song "Mindfeeder" By Iron Savior?

No, it's a reference to the band Mindfeed of Glynn Morgan who was also the vocalist of Threshold for their album "Psychedelicatessen".

It is true XD I forgot which train station, but once you get off, you go straight into the intersection and take a right, there's a maid cafe on the second floor on your left. You're prohibited from bringing in cameras The English menu is hilarious considering it's not good english XD

Yeah, when I was there the ratio was like, 6-9 maids for every block and about four times as many cosplayers. Also there's claw machines EVERYWHERE and the prizes are usually naked/erotic figurines.

I remember when we went into one of these maid cafes in Akihabara. Upon our entry, a middle aged man was escorted out by police, in their hand was a camera. Apparently he was trying to take photos under the table (which is illegal) and had apparently been stalking one of the maids. (They don't use their real-names to prevent this). The whole experience was quite weird.
