I can confirm this. When someone tumbles in the middle of the moshpit, then he/she is instantly to be helped to stand up by everyone.

one of my favorite moments in life happened at a metal show. I was at Sonisphere UK (2011 i think) and Slipknot were performing, near the end of the show they brought out a boiler suit, bass guitar and mask in honor of Paul Gray who died the year before and we all had a minute silence. I watched the stage and saw Joey Jordison hug the suit and shudder (he was clearly crying) suddenly behind me i felt someone pushing down on my shoulder, it was a man crowd surfing wooting and yelling **** yeah DURING A ******* MINUTE SILENCE! i looked over to the guy on the right to me we caught each others eyes and new exactly what to do. we grabbed that ******* collar and slammed him to the floor and he promptly stumbled off, he was either being idiotic or just showing his support either way you do not do this kind of thing during a moment of silence

tldr i slammed someone to the ground for disrespecting someone during their memorial show.

I'm a Slipknot fan for a looooong time (since self titled), and memory of Paul is something very important to me.
You are a good man, and i wish you all the best in your life.
"anything you believe in" bless you.

I'm a big dude but I've been knocked down a few times in a pit... Most of the time I struggle to get up again simply because of the sheer number of people trying to help me up.

Suddenly I have a mental image of three metalheads, but they also have top hats and well groomed mustaches.

Once I was at a disturbed concert and I was in the pit. As a 5'1" girl I could barely see anything past all of the tall, big metal heads. Throughout the show, every single one would realize that they were blocking my view though and would let me in front of them so that I could actually get a chance to see the show. I ended up on the barricade separating the band from the audience because all of he big biker guys wanted me to have a shot at seeing the concert. Thank you biker guys.

If you get knocked down you spend about 1 second on the ground before some guy pulls you to your feet

A lot of the shows I've been too, they do try to be careful no to seriously hurt people. It's actually kind of nice for those of us who may.. not be the strongest of the bunch and could easily get knocked the **** out, but still want to join in the fun. Dethklok was easily one of the best pits I've ever been too.

Sorry, I appear to have lost my sense of humor tonight. I have been confronted by people who didn't think that they did shows and called me out on lying.
What have they done to me.

But i would have to go to chicago since it's the closest, and I don't care for chicago. I guess minneapoles would be alright. Yeah i've been wanting to since I was in highschool, but the timing was never right.

Where I live, it was about an hour drive out into the middle of ******** nowhere to the "big" stadium. I really try not to go there unless it's absolutely necessary, since it's one hell of a drive and it's even worse getting back. I think the only bands I have ever done it for were Dethklok and I think another black metal band that came.
