"When that boot of the state breaks down the door. It is more than a door that has been broken. That door is the thin line between fascism and liberty. Between the government and the people. Between freedom and tyranny. This line seems so strong so indestructible. But all It takes is a boot to shatter the line forever."

I was looking at the comments and made me write this,

Not everyone is locked in their house. You are where you were when they said "hey, chill for a bit"

Now, I'm not sure that the US is going as far down the drain as Nazi Germany was, but If you read Eli Wiesel's "Night" some Nazi Soldiers bought chocolates and stuff for the Jews before they were shipped off to Auschwitz. Even after being warned by a guy that escaped a firing squad, they couldn't believe that the soldiers would do stuff that was so terrible; and didn't believe it could happen to them. Not sure if OP is making a point with the whole "...Fascist Police States..." comment, but I'm just saying. Fascist police states DID do stuff like the above.

Its a joke that we have a "Fascist" government under Obama (more of this was spewed out by republitards on the news when Boston was locked down to catch the ******* who were behind the bombing), yet cops do this kinda **** .

I'm pretty sure some cops are nice and cool and some are douchebags.

Also about this particular issue. I'm am getting worried. All the government has to do is say "terrorist"

and your ****** . Regardless of whether or not you are innocent.
User avatar #113 to #104 - Sethorein ONLINE (04/21/2013) [-]
they usually say terrorist AFTER **** goes down though o.o
#116 to #104 - John Cena (04/21/2013) [-]
you've just described the whole human race with that first sentence, but a vast majority don't try to be douchebags, and they never are in the eyes of everyone in the world.

What I meant was that, even if you did nothing all they have to do is say it come up with "evidence" and you're screwed. I mean, it wouldn't really be that hard now would it?
User avatar #448 to #442 - schneidend (04/21/2013) [-]
...Are you honestly insinuating that the police, multiple offices of the FBI, at least two teams of lawyers, countless journalists, a judge, and all the regulatory bodies of those organizations and people would all knowingly work together to form a conspiracy to falsely accuse an innocent citizen of the United States of America of terrorism? What would even be the benefit of that, for any of them?
User avatar #455 to #448 - infinitereaper ONLINE (04/21/2013) [-]
No you fool, I'm saying that, eh. Nevermind.

I was just trying to say that it would be easy. And if things are easy, they will likely be done now or eventually
User avatar #462 to #455 - schneidend (04/21/2013) [-]
The above conspiracy would be required for that to happen. Not easy. At all.

That's certainly not what I mean when I say it. Of course there are good cops, and of course the majority of them are decent people, but when you have an exception to a rule like that that leaves so much open to interpretation, there are people that are going to use it correctly, and then there are people who are going to abuse it entirely.
User avatar #192 to #159 - schneidend (04/21/2013) [-]
Which is why they have these handy regulatory departments like Internal Affairs filled with ambitious officers who are more than happy to blow the whistle on any misconduct.
User avatar #333 to #192 - Endofzeeworld (04/21/2013) [-]
Except when you have loose rules like the exception we have here, it isn't entirely difficult to justify a lot of misconduct that could potentionally happen.
User avatar #345 to #333 - schneidend (04/21/2013) [-]
"Loose rules"?
User avatar #353 to #345 - Endofzeeworld (04/21/2013) [-]
Not firmly or tightly fixed in place; detached or able to be detached: "a loose tooth
As in, a rule that is open to interpretation or flexible.
