And they will never know the tragedy of the notice, "this memory card is corrupt and must be formatted."

in my day we didn't have a rumble controller. We had a rumble pak that felt like 100 pounds after playing so long. Didn't get that till C-c-c-c-combo breaker and barrel roll days.

Beat me to the punch by about five minutes.

These things were freaking awesome. Made the controller heavy enough to beat my friends with when they beat me.

I was a bit of a sore loser.

If I was flicked on the head for every time I saw a post that resembled something along those lines, my head would be a splattered, bloody mess on the floor.

I remember for my PSOne I didn't have a memory card for almost a year after I got one. I would waste an entire day trying to beat a game before my mom would tell me to turn it off and go to bed. If I didn't I would have to go through and try to beat the game all over again.

Dear God! I remember how fascinated I was to hear that some games didn't need the all important memory card! I only had a ps consoles at first. GIF for that moment when your main memory cards went missing.

Not that many consoles actually needed a Memory card.
The only ones I can think of is PS1, PS2, GameCube, and Dreamcast(Maybe)
Other consoles either rarely needed a Memory card.

actually japan still produced the ps2 until literally a few months ago, good thing my original model still works perfect (other than the fact it sounds like crap but i would too if i was not cleaned for 12 years and up untill the xbox 360 came out in 05 i played my ps2 religiously).

Xbox has a ridiculous amount of 12 year olds compared to Play Station. I have both so i can judge. Plus who plays Skyrim on a console? Im not a pc gamer yet i still play it on mine.

That's the truth. When I first got Dragon Ball Z Budokai, I played the **** out of that game. I could never beat Frieza (I was 5 chill) and I never had a memory card. So, every day, I fought through Raditz, Saibamen, Nappa, Vegeta, Recoome, Captain Ginyu (twice) and Frieza THREE ******* TIMES. When I finally beat it, I didn't turn my Playstation off for two weeks until my new dad got me a memory card. I will always remember that.

The worst moment is when you went to your friends house but forgot the memory card.

One time I had this Digimon game, and I had gotten so far in it, so ******* far, that I refused to let my parents turn off the play station until I could get a memory card. The TV and playstation was on for about three days because I couldn't find any old memory cards and we hadn't had a chance to buy a new one. Then my mom tripped on the wire or some stupid **** like that and the PS came unplugged and I just cried

My Dark Cloud 2 disc is too scratched to load the cut scene ending chapter 5, and now every time I see a PS2, a little part of me dies.

When it comes to portability of save data, I'm assuming they'll start using clouds. I think Steam already does.
