He was confronted by topless protestors (which, by the way, won't get their point across at all).
Putin didn't ban gay people all together; he banned them from holding public demonstrations about homosexuality--the parades and **** like that.

Homosexuals can be black, white, brown, red, purple, blue....
They have a bigger affect on the world than just one race.

Personally, I'm not racist, I have nothing against any race of people.
But I still think KFC and Watermelon jokes are funny.

See, races are more tolerated these days... You can call a black man "Black" and he probably won't get as pissed off as he would 100 years ago... But homosexuals have it terrible, man... They are hated across the entire globe.

They deserve more respect so the tolerance can build, and we can start poking fun at them, more.

hey i got a question. with the whole gay people fighting for gay marriage in america thing. is it marriage in or out of the church that they're fighting for? i'm not from america so i'm not sure on the whole situation
User avatar #53 to #51 - deadadventurer (04/09/2013) [-]
Basically they want the legal rights from marriage (which they can already get from a registered partnership that is basically the same) and some tax deductions or some **** ...

That's the official reason anyways. Personally I just think that they want to dress in white dress and prance around in church like a fairie faggot.
#59 to #53 - cumguzzler (04/09/2013) [-]
You seem a bit uneducated. Be cool stay in school.

#111 to #65 - cumguzzler (04/09/2013) [-]
I really wish you knew at least one gay person in real life so you could have some perspective. Also if I stay a fag how can I become a fag. Doesn't staying a fag imply I'm already a fag
User avatar #114 to #111 - deadadventurer (04/09/2013) [-]
fag rhymes with frag. You know as in fragcount? I just wanted to retort on your stay in school be cool rhyme.

Anyways I did know a homo from my... eh... I guess equivalent of college in my country. That was one "botoxlipped fancyshmancy pink coloured T-shirt with flashy bright **** on it wearing 100% flaming faggot."

See... the thing is I get annoyed when girls are too girly. I see it as being weak. Imagine how I see a "man" who emulates these qualities?
#66 to #65 - spamzor (04/09/2013) [-]
You seem too stupid to realize you only described the situation for homosexuals in the US.

Plus I ******* hate you for saying gay men just want to prance around.
User avatar #68 to #66 - deadadventurer (04/09/2013) [-]
Well... the situation in western society at large mostly.

Also... have you seen ( I guess you have been in) gay parades?
If that's not prancing around like a flaming faggots, I don't know what is.
#72 to #68 - spamzor (04/09/2013) [-]
Yes, ofcourse the parades are like that. It is supposed to be a single occasion event in which gay people could pretend that they didn't live in a world were gays were hated and shunned for millennia. You know, just have a good time in public. There are heterosexual events of this kind on a much larger scale, and with just as much nudity and the like.

Btw, Western society at large fully accepts gays. Entire northeastern Europe and Canada have granted equal rights. You still only just describe the situation in the US
User avatar #75 to #72 - deadadventurer (04/09/2013) [-]
So... that's kinda the same thing I said, instead you just formulated it in a non offensive way... prancer.

#56 to #53 - anon (04/09/2013) [-]
Wow, **** you.

The reason people want the same marriage laws as straight couples, is so that they can file for things like power of attorney, and the right to visit their loved one in hospital, and share insurance.

You ******* mongoloid.
#62 to #56 - anon (04/09/2013) [-]
so do people who want gay marriage don't mind whether it's through the church or not? they just want the same rights as straight married people?
#87 to #62 - angelusprimus (04/09/2013) [-]
Yes, they don't give a damn about it being through a church. Every church has, and absolutely should have right to decide for itself if it will preform ceremonies or not. Even in countries like Sweden and Denmark Catholic church does not preform gay marriages.
They just want same tax and social benefits as heterosexual couples.
User avatar #126 to #87 - deadadventurer (04/09/2013) [-]
Which is kinda weird since in Denmark there is a lesbian catholic priest of all things....
User avatar #64 to #56 - deadadventurer (04/09/2013) [-]
So basically the same rights as a registered partnership gives, just without wearing a pretty white dress.
#82 to #64 - angelusprimus (04/09/2013) [-]
No, not the same.
Difference between civil union and marriage by american law is in over 300 tax and civil benefits, including, but not limited to:
extending your health insurance to your spouse
direct inheritance
joint tax filings
military service death benefits
legal guardianship of children (if a lesbian has a child by artificial insemination and then dies, child goes to her relatives or the state, not her partner)
etc.
They are not asking for right to be married in a church, (although some churches do that already, like some anglican, lutheran, quaker, united church of christ etc.) They are simply asking for equality by the law.
Which I think every citizen has right to ask.
User avatar #127 to #82 - deadadventurer (04/09/2013) [-]
Finally a queer with a good answer.
#52 to #51 - anon (04/09/2013) [-]
honestly i'm not too sure myself, but i would assume they want any form of marriage heterosexual couples can have, so both.
#22 - anon (04/09/2013) [-]
I don't understand why it's such a big deal for gay people to be recognized. Hey, if you wanna make sex with someone of the same gender, then go for it. I'll give you a high five and a slap on the ass on the way into the bedroom.
But I've wondered why it matters that gay people NEED to get married. Or they NEED all this law crap. For tax purposes? ******************* .
If you're in love, why do you need some paper telling people that you are together?
And why is it such a big deal for you to openly pronounce your sexual habits in public. (Granted, they don't go in graphic detail, but it's not like I introduce myself to everyone saying i am heterosexual, and leave it to their imaginations as to what that entails.)
"No, it's about the bigger picture. Equal rights for everyone. **** all the bigots."
I'd like to see gay people go through half the **** African Americans had to put up with since they were brought to America. Then they'd at least have a reason to bitch and moan.
#23 to #22 - LordVoltagen (04/09/2013) [-]
Why dont you say that while signed in?
#25 to #23 - anon (04/09/2013) [-]
Just to point this out im not the same person as him, and that they want to be married because the advantages like healthcare and other paraphanalia can be distributed between them. This way if one goes to the hospital and needs to....lets say get a lung transplant, but cant pay for it and they will die unless they get one, then their partner can give them their health care plan in order to save their lives. If they are not married, this will not happen and the man/woman that needs a lung transplant would die. Sorry for the long example but still. And because they want to be recognized with equal rights as straight people. Its like how America went through racism, exept its like.....homophobism or something.
#24 to #22 - anon (04/09/2013) [-]
you know, African Americans like to bitch and moan about how their ancestors were slaves and all that but a majority of slaves purchased as slave labor to be shipped to Americans were purchased from tribes who had made raids on the other village and were selling war prisoners as slaves who would have otherwise just been killed. I'm not saying all the **** that happened while they were slaves was okay, but if you weigh death/nonexistence against slavery idk about anyone else but it looks to me like African Americans got the better half of the deal.
#34 to #22 - iggypiggy (04/09/2013) [-]
Because it's a human right to get married for ***** sake, are you really that stupid?

Besides gay people are unfortunately even today shunned and looked down upon, and it's people like you that make the equality seem further and further

there are hostels for women who have been beaten by there spouse in other countries to, I know for a fact that we have them in Britain, they are more of a safety measure than to make up for anything lacking in law.
User avatar #90 to #86 - alfjnn (04/09/2013) [-]
Beating your wife in Russia, is still considered assault, and abuse, and is illegal. The police, however, do not interfere, in the same sense that they do not interfere with stopping discrimination.

Women are free to leave their husbands to crisis centers, and are given a place to stay.

In this, I see no issue. It's the woman's choice, she can leave or stay. Any form of assault, or murder, is illegal in Russia.
User avatar #92 to #90 - Loppytaffy (04/09/2013) [-]
How can you not see an issue when she will have absolutely nothing if she leaves, and has only a month to start her life over from scratch?

She (or he, let's not be one sided here, it works both ways) is not the one in the wrong, the victim should not be the one who have to leave, the abuser should be the one to suffer.

And also their are protests going on to have domestic violence recognised as a crime.
User avatar #93 to #92 - alfjnn (04/09/2013) [-]
I'm an economist.
Ethics and morals are not my strong suit.

The one being abused can leave at any point they want, and are offered shelter, food, and a place to stay. That seems like enough for me.

Ofcourse this also goes into who owns the house, who has the money, and the like.

Honestly, if the one being abused doesn't have a job, that's their own personal problem. If the one being abused owns the house, then by all means, the abuser should leave, and the police will escort the person off the property.
User avatar #205 to #90 - xxbutthurtxx (04/09/2013) [-]
Waat. If you discriminate someone in front of the police in Germany they will arrest you and the guy/girl you discriminated can sue you. (This only counts for racism, discrimination of sexuality, or discrimination because of religion as far as I know)
