The problem here is that we need to find a way to fix this that will make everyone (or as many as possible) happy. People want gays to have the same benefits and legal status as married couples, and people also want to keep the definition of marriage the same.

So perhaps we could remove government recognition of marriage altogether; We'd use a different term, it'd apply to everyone, and would treat everyone equally under the law. Marriage could then be a term/title of a purely religious nature (it'd have no legal benefits/recognition).

The only thing I really care about in this whole issue is for people to come together and be reasonable. It's time to end the "us vs. them" mentality.

Marriage is a union between a Man and a Woman, and so it should be. On the other hand everyone has the right to love what or who ever he wants.I propose: give the homosexuals some form of union that resembles marriage with all its rights and duties, but is not called that way, Idk "partnership bond" or whatever. That way both sides are happy and we can all watch funny cat pictures on FJ again.

That argument makes me think of the whole "separate but equal" thing back when there was segregation.

May I ask, can't gay people get a civil union? What's the different between than and actual marriage? Just curious, that's it.

Why do i support gay marriage?

I enjoy lesbian porn, and they are gay, so i don't want to be hypocritical..

I don't get why people would be upset about this. If someone needs a place to park and I'm not using my driveway, they can sure as hell use it. Better than taking up the ******* street. It's just logical. There's a space designed for a car to be parked and area on the street designed to be driven - not parked - on. It just makes sense to use the driveway that is not currently in use.
