The whole problem with it is that marriage is religious in origin and in that same religion it's considered wrong to be gay, so in christian eyes it's blasphemous against their religion.

But marriage has long evolved from being only a religious ceremony, and is more of a common staple of modern society. But even though we're promised separation of state and church most of the people in charge of things are religious and have religious views, often threatening equal human rights.

Just give it a few more years, gay marriage will be legal in every state soon enough. Remember when black people weren't allowed in the same bathrooms as white people? Remember when women couldn't vote? Human rights change for the better over time.

Actually, marriage pre-dates religion (or at least as far as I know, definitely Christianity). It was formerly a ceremony that basically gave away a familiy's daughter for another man to own (the wedding ring a symbol of her being owned by the man). Now, from this, I assume that the reason gay marriage isn't traditional is that a man wouldn't own a man in this way back then, and so gay marriage was unheard of.

But aside from all this, I'd say that I disagree with it anyway; not just gay marriage, but marriage as a whole.

Though it certainly has changed from what it used to be, I'd say that marriage lacks trust between the married. Seriously - it's promising that you won't run off with anyone else, and to make sure you keep that promise, the government gets involved and creates a whole contract to follow. Can't couples just trust each other? And to make matters worse, it costs money to get married - its as though our whole system of love and trust is based on government contracts and money.

May I ask, can't gay people get a civil union? What's the different between than and actual marriage? Just curious, that's it.

Dont deny child's rights for your ******** pleasure. Marriage was meant to defend the rights of children to have both a father and mother. The issue is the right of children to have a mother and a father who represents their identity, lineage, and history, about the future equality of children who are motherless or fatherless compared to those who are raised by their father and mother. Today this right of the child can be bought on the market place by people who do not want to get married to someone of the complementary sex but rather who want access to children.
One Mama, One Papa, True Parents You should learn this from the French.
1. "The rights of children trump the right to children. As a society we should not be encouraging this. It’s not biologically natural.” Jean-Marc, a homosexual French mayor.

Actually, the women has a right as an owner to do that. If this is somewhere in the USA I don't see a problem, because its a country where you have a right to shoot at trespassers.

And the gay marriage part shall not receive my comment.

Why do i support gay marriage?

I enjoy lesbian porn, and they are gay, so i don't want to be hypocritical..
Sort of...

I honestly don't care which way the gay marriage thing gets worked out so long as it gets worked out and I can stop hearing about it. Seriously, this debate's been going on for years and I'm beyond the point of caring about it. Let's just clear up the media space for something actually worth the processing my brain bothers to put on it.
MFW people who care incoming.
