No arachnid in the world gets 2 feet wide, the biggest, bird eating tarantula's, might just get to be 1 foot wide, but most dont even come close.

i'm not going to post an image of the camel spider for fear of pissing it in some possible way

No Camel Spiders aren't actually spiders. That in the picture is just a tarantula. Camel Spiders are Arachnids in the Solifugae Order (Spiders are a separate order). There are a few different types but most are called Camel Spiders, Wind Scorpions, and Sun Spiders despite the actual species of the Solifugae. They have longer bodies and are (usually) much more hairy. They don't spin webs and have no venom as well.

Pic related, a Camel Spider.

Also they can run up to speeds of 12 MPH. To put that in perspective the average human can only sprint a max speed of 15 MPH.

I thought human max speed was clocked in at 25 mph?
User avatar #195 to #194 - Yardie (03/22/2013) [-]
Fastest human speed yeah, average human speed definitely not. Most athletes run above 20 mph but the average person only goes 15 mph.
