I know Skullcandy is another "make-face" type company, but I have a pair of their Aviator headphones for $150, and I have yet to find a pair of beats or any other headphones that can beat the godly sound quality. Plus their return policy is the best a guy could ask for.

I use V-moda crossfade-LP, got them on sale at Ebay for 80 dollars.

but do they shoot lasers?
User avatar #223 to #218 - etrian (03/16/2013) [-]
unfortunately not , but the plates on the sides might be able to deflect them.

I was thinking of saving my money up for those cause i read that they're god if you're into music production, Is it true? How good are they?
User avatar #225 to #220 - etrian (03/16/2013) [-]
Sound quality is great, but you might need to burn them in depending on what type of music you prefer. I heard they're really good for music with a lot of bass, but I listen mostly to metal and rock.
User avatar #227 to #225 - mickeymichleson (03/16/2013) [-]
I've been working on learning how to produce EDM (Not dubstep, I like order in my music) But yeah, I really love alot of bass in my work. Maybe I should get these.
I know Creative is a good brand, I'd also like to get the Aurvana Live set.
I can't stand beats or even skullcandy.

I have Skullcandy ear buds. I know ear buds are the worst kind of headphones for you but goddammit the sound is good; it's like my brain is singing on surround sound.
I would totally get the chunky headphones everybody else has but I wear my hair up a lot, so it would mess up a lot of things and get tangled.

#200 to #198 - mefuckinggusta (03/16/2013) [-]
Ahhhh well most over ear headphones hare comparable and shouldn't fall off and I know a little less about that but I do like Bose which some people not not agree with but I could suggest some Bose qc15's which have active noise cancellation their a little expensive and not super flashy but they sound very good and the active noise cancellation is some of the best
User avatar #202 to #200 - fuckinniggers (03/16/2013) [-]
alright I will take a look at those thanks man!

Bose ie2's they have a special stay hear tips that hold them in your ear they sound very balanced and refuse to fall out of your ears they run about 100 dollars but for the one with the iPhone controls is 130 dollars

Sennheisers bruh

Pros: Excellent sound quality, VERY affordable, comes with an adapter, Mildly durable

Cons: Freakishly long cord (They're actually made for professional mixing)
User avatar #173 to #141 - comanderspy (03/16/2013) [-]
wow, those look like **** , maybe they sound awsome, but they look like some cheap ass sony headphones
#182 to #173 - anon (03/16/2013) [-]
Bad ass looking headphones =/= Good quality headphones

I hate it when people buy headphones based on how 'cool' they look. It's just as bad as people who buy headphones for the brand.
User avatar #181 to #173 - oodlesandoodles (03/16/2013) [-]
Right, because you'd rather spend $300 on a pair of mediocre sounding headphones, but, hey, at least they make you look good.
User avatar #184 to #181 - comanderspy (03/16/2013) [-]
well, im not a swaggot, but i dont thing those look very comfy. they do look very light, but the manufacturer clearly doesnt give a single **** about looks, i mean it has 2 cords! cant you just loop it around the top?! that it what bothers me the most, thats why i have vengeance 2000, they are wireless and have great audio and mic quality. i do apreciate quality, but it should be a balance between quality, and convenience/looks
User avatar #195 to #184 - oodlesandoodles (03/16/2013) [-]
Well, first off, when I go headphone shopping, I don't give a **** about the looks because, who the hell cares? They're not a fashion statement. I look for sound and price, because that's all that matters. Yes, it has two cords. Most wired headphones do and they are very comfortable. For $30, the only complaint I have is the length of the cord, but even then, it comes with a belt clip. Anyone who spends more on inferior sounding headphones, be it for looks, convenience , or what have you, is a fool.

I like my **** LOUD ***** , comfortable, and I'd like wireless because **** wires getting caught on **** , holding a young ***** down. So far all I could find are the wireless Beats by Dre, but they're kinda pricey. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

I personally like Sennheiser or Shure. They make great quality headphones worth the price
User avatar #105 to #99 - iamkagji ONLINE (03/16/2013) [-]
An Afterglow Headset. They run about $100, and will work on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, your phone, your mp3 player, anything that you can hook it up to. They have awesome digital surround sound, a directional microphone, are noise cancelling, and have a 12-hour built in battery. Also, they glow.

They also have 3 equalizer settings. If you feel particularly industrious, you can get programs online that will allow you to add more.

A pair of $60(CND) Sony stereo headphones. Because they make things sound great and clear. Hell even the $15 Sony Earbuds are pretty tits too.

I personally use this, the MRDXB500 Extra Bass headphones.

If you're looking for good wireless headohones, that's a pipe dream. Not even Sennheiser can make good ones, and they are regarded as one of the best brands in the headphone world. get your ass AKG's 271 MKII, pair of phones any audiophile can love, and trust me, much better than that afterglow crap. I've listened to them and if you buy them, you're buying them for the look.

small afterthought: all AKG headohones require some serious break in time before they get to their best sound, plug those into your ipod or computer and let them play some music at about mid volume for about 100-200 hours. this will loosen the headphone's drivers so they can move freely, creating a transparent, almost liquid sound.
User avatar #68 - daimondemon (03/15/2013) [-]
Why not just buy a cheesy off brand?you can still listen to the music, half the time they're softer, and they're only 20 dollars at most. Though, when I ask for headphones for a birthday or christmas, I usually end up with Skullcandy, and those are a good brand in my mind.
User avatar #250 - thegamerslife (03/16/2013) [-]
This is exactly why I only bought a $50 7.1 surround sound Rosewill headset, works just as good as my bros $180 pair. he's kinda pissed about it lol

get vengeance 2000, from amazon if preferable, they are cheaper there. those are the ones i got, they are really good, wireless! and the install dvd comes with a equalizer with a couple of cool presets, or you can make your own so your metal sounds more metalic, or whatever
