It works until it gets a tiny droplet of water in the wrong place and everyone dies.

Hahaha, how would they die? By being shocked with 120 volts? I have been shocked multiple times, but more voltage then average household power. I'm an electrician by the way. Sure, there may be the chance that 120 volts could kill you but that is only if the electricity pases through your chest and you have a weak heart in the first place.

Europeans use the 220V standard. And if you were really an electrician, you would know that the voltage has nothing to do with killing a human. It is the Amperage. It takes a total of 7 milliamps for 3 seconds total is enough to kill you. The human body can handle and survive more than 100,000 volts. It is going to suck of course, but it is a proven fact.

And yes, Anyone in that pool would die if the water was able to consistently contact any of the live feeds. A standard European or American Outlet will have anywhere from 15 to 40 Amps. Way more than enough to kill you.

Not true. I have been shocked by outlets multiple times. Every electrician I know has been shocked. Why am I not dead? The household electrical is limited just because of the high chance of someone accidently coming into contact with an outlet. I am part of the second best trades program in the world. Dont doubt that I am an Electrician.

Although you may have been shocked by any standard outlet or even non standard outlets or wiring, you don't hold on to whatever is shocking the **** out of you. If you did, you would die. I have been electrocuted more times than I can remember, but each time, my reaction was to let go. Why do you think people kill themselves with toasters and a bath tub? A standard toaster uses 12.5 amps. Even though it has 120 volts going through it, it will still kill you. A police taser uses 2.1 milliamps but will have anything 50,000 to 100,000 volts going through it. Very rarely do people die due to that shock.
In the United States, on average 400 die from electrocution and 4,400 are injured each year because of electrical hazards. Of these, 180 are related to consumer products. Another 325 die and 4,000 are injured in workplace electrical accidents, according to data published by the National Safety Council.
In the US tasers have only claimed the lives of roughly 500 people in the last decade.

So, if you truly are an electrician, I would take this up with with your trade programs officials because they obviously are not teaching you what you need to know. I am a small electronics engineer and computer hardware engineer and am required to know this information as I work closely with things that have high amperage but low voltage.

I will acknowledge that some people die per year, but that doesn't mean these people here would be dead from this. If so, then why arent they dead? The fact is I dont think the electricity has a path to ground, and as we both know electricity is always trying to find a path to ground. Thats how some work boots have a ohms symbol on them, because if you are wearing them you are not grounded, thus decreasing your chance of shock.

They're obviously electrical engineers. The rubber/plastic pool insulates them from the ground, so they wouldn't get electrocuted, they WOULD however blow their fuse.
