Considering they let you bring small containers of liquid, you could easily bring a 3 2oz containers of mercury and **** up the bathroom sink.

Or, hell, you could bring bathroom cleaners and mix them in the bathroom to make the air unpleasant.

What I'm trying to say is that those regulations with what you can and cant bring on a plane (aside from obvious weapons) are retarded.

As a chemist I find this extremely amusing and fascinating to watch.

However, I find it strange that anyone would want to bring mercury on a plane in the first place. Are you transporting thermometers or something? Lol.

Thats actually gallium, not mercury. Gallium dissipates into most metals and makes them weak.

"Strange matter" made up of up down and strange quarks are theorized to have the same effect with all matter they touch. They turn the matter they come in contact with into more strange matter, a viscous fluid, that turns more matter into it. Its one way to end the world and its thought to be one of the products of nuclear reactions. Just a fun thought for you guys.

I study quantum physics and theoretical physics.
