Uh, no. You can tell if a lock is open with a lockpick.

If he can pick a lock i am pretty sure he knows you turn a lock to the left to unlock it.

You do realize that attempting to unlock an unlocked lock won't do anything, right? It will stay unlocked.

>learn how to lock pick
>go to first house to break into
>lock level: master
>i can do it
>forget that you turn key left to unlock
>spend 5 hours turning some right and some left
>what the **** is this sorcery

this is retarded, you always no matter what just turn to the left to unlock a door. if it doesnt turn, then it is already unlocked.

I don't think that's how locks work.
and her door must look like something from a skyrim barrow.

I guess I don't get the logic.

For starters, is easy to tell if a lock is locked or not.

Secondly, why 6 locks? why not 4? why not 10?

well, actually this would work, just not with any lock. if you start to pick a lock you usually wouldnt notice if its already unlocked, because the bolts have to fall back into their holes to release the key. so you would also have to pick a lock to lock it, wenn its unlocked. the only problem is the direction you rotate the cylinder. usually you unlock a lock by turning the cylinder away from the frame. but there are locks that will always change the position from locked to unlocked or the other way, no matter how you turn it. im not shure what they`re called in english. in german its "doppelrotationsschloss" (yes i know, we have a beautiful language. it sounds even better if you say that in a hitler-style voice). have a nice day everyone.

What thief would waste his time picking 6 locks anyway?
