All the comments say "Oh Nintendo could do this now but they won't" but if they did everyone would flip their **** and say "It sucks!" and "Bring back to old style!"

What I'm saying is, Nintendo keeps it the way it is because you don't need to fix something that isn't broken

that's still ******** though, a lot of retro games have evolved into modern standards: Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy etc', and they're still praised in their newer versions. I'm sure Pokemon would've been as well

The 3d wouldn't affect the gameplay, but as long as the gameplay doesn't change they'd be fine. Like with Final Fantasy, I personally hate the new battle interface where it isn't played in turns, rather it's fast-paced. Some things need to stay the same and I think Pokemon is one of them

But eventually you do need to replace the computer because it's been outdated.

They could easily do this now. They choose not to because they're ******* assholes.

Grass types to hurt water types. It's just that water type attacks are ineffective on grass type pokemon...

That could be what Pokémon would look like now, if Nintendo would just DO IT instead of clinging to their handhelds.

This image has expired
The only problem with the new games I have is that I foresee the battle system taking too long just so Gamefreak can show off the 3DS features.

For example, this is a prerelease screenshot of the start of a wild battle in X and Y. Zooming in on the Pokemon's face when encountering it? My god, the battles are going to be filled with unnecessary animations that make them take 3 times as long.

There'll always be the option to turn the animations off. I always turned battle animations off on the originals when I was power levelling in the wilds.

Still, this is an example of just showing off because they're putting a main series game on a new system.

Yeah. That's my worry with remakes in general. Like, everyone was ******** themselves wanting a remake of Final Fantasy VII when the PS3 came out. The game was already 90+ hours, and that was just with the storyline. They'd have added so much unnecessary **** just to show off the capabilities of the machine, that the game would have taken forever to even get out of Midgar.

If pokemon only looks that good in 10 years, you people will be wasting your money. In 10 years it should look at least 4x better than that.
