Atheism is a religion, just like any other.
Just because it doesn't have a god doesn't mean it's not a religion.
It still tries to answer the impossible questions of life, a characteristic of all religions.

it's not a religion it is an idealogy. it doesn't try to answer life's questions, science trys to do that.

it's kind of hard not to believe in science. i feel pretty bad for someone who is stupid enough to not believe in science or the scientific process.

Most atheists are actually agnostics. Extreme atheists are just as dumb as extreme Christians.

Hope they don't treat Christians Nicely?

This doesn't make sense...at all.

Unless, however, you're assuming all Christians are the stereotype they are set out to be.

Everyone either believes in a god or doesn't believe in a god, and I'm just sitting here not giving a damn and going on with my day.

I think one of the problems here is people seem to think that the average christian is a loud angry person from the southern part of America. which is ludicrous that's like judging all German's based on Nazi's. such generalizations and stereotypes are childish at best.

By this logic, us here in Ireland should be striking out against the Unionists up North.
The reason we don't is because the unionists in the North aren't the ones who oppressed the Catholics all those years ago, you know?

If Christians are going to fear revenge from anybody they've wronged in the past then it should be the rising Pagan community.
If you really think about it, they destroyed our civilizations, ransacked and burned down all of our temples, hunted down and massacred our people for hundreds of years.
Those are some pretty big motivations for exacting revenge.
That said, I (and I believe most of the Pagan community is with me on this) do not believe that revenge will solve anything. Violence only begets more violence and if we as a species are going to continue our march forward into progress then we must forget about getting even and forgive one another and accept everyone for who they are.

Extreme atheists and Extreme Christians are both part of the same annoying pod. They will sit there telling you that you are wrong for your beliefs (or in my experience they do) My opinion on it all is this, let people live their life and let them think what they think, who cares?

(Full blown bible toting church going christian here its what i was raised with and what im comfortable with)

Agree completely. Both use their beliefs as an excuse to treat others like ****, and they are so extreme they will not listen to any disagreement.

Neither. I'm completely neutral, I don't believe or disbelieve that there is a god that exists, because frankly, there's no way to know, so what's the point?

Then that would be atheism mate, not being convinced there is a god by current evidence is atheism, so unless you do believe there is a god, you're an atheist.

Well yes and no, it implies not believing in a god, but atheism literally by name means a-theism which essentially means to refute the claims made by theists. Which then is explained further on by the lack of evidence.

No, atheism is the belief that there is no god. The absolute rejection of the existence of a greater deity. But I'm still open to the thought that there might be, but there also might not be.

That's not atheism, atheism is exactly what the name implies a-theism meaning it is simply a refutation of the claims made by theists, with the reasoning being current evidence doesn't suffice. You are describing a gnostic atheist, most are agnostic atheists including myself. Basically saying I don't know if there is or isn't a god but there is no evidence leading me to believe there is at this point in time.
