I shall endeavor to control my dreams, i shall eat many bananas. This is probably one of the few things I shall be serious about. Oh the temptation. I shall record my progress and if enough people are interested i shall document my progress on this site.

The one time I can actually remember having a lucid dream, I felt excited within my dream because of the fact that I realised I was dreaming, then I immediatly woke up because I was too excited

Reminds me of a dream I had some day before.
Be in forest, hear some strange noises.
'There is no source for this noises in the forest'
Then I remember this noises, every goddamn Wednesday our
cleaner runs amok with her mops.
' ******* hate that bitch'
Woke up.

That often happens on your first time. Try again.

you can spin in the dream.
it helps keep you dreaming.
btw it doesn't say it obviously enough, but if you want to have lucid dreaming, you must keep a dreaming journal. without it, most efforts wouldn't matter much.

That's very normal, a tip I used is making a routine when awake to stare at my hands. So when I discover I'm dreaming I'll focus on my hands in my dream to prevent myself from waking up.

I have been trying this for almost a year. I even tried different methods like WILD and at the moment I am testing DEILD. I really REALLY want this skill but I seriously cannot get that first lucid dream. It's driving me insane! Help!

Set a soft alarm 2hrs before you wake up. When you wake, try to keep your dream going as a day dream and then you'll fall into a lucid dream.. It worked for me, I used to have lucid dreams 3+ times a week
User avatar #51 to #43 - westylegity (01/31/2013) [-]
I've been trying that but I struggled to get an alarm that self terminated. I'm trying out a new app on my phone so hopefully tomorrow morning will yield some lucid dreaming.

You could get some dream hurbs of the internet, Caliea Zatche is relativity cheep if I remember and it realy helps. But just keep a deam jornal alwase and your already at a huge advantage. Oh, and try taking naps in the mourning a hour or so after you wake up, I almost always go lucid then, rarely at night

I am scared of two things, 1 that I create my worst fears and 2 that I begin to enjoy dream land too much

I had a lucid dream once. ******* crazy **** man. There was some sort of huge castle school thing, with a huge central tower and smaller towers surrounding it. The dream starts with a wide circling decent around the outer towers. There was apparently a moat around the castle. I guess if I had to describe it, it was probably like 500 feet across at the base and at least 1500 feet high. Anyway, I descended into the water (crystal clear btw) and kept going down until things sort of flipped around and I came out the bottom of the water. It was sort of like a huge disc, because there was another castle on the other side, but upside down. Gravity reverses. It was crazy. I don't exaclty remember what happened next, but I remember a moment when I stopped and went "Wait, how the **** did I get here?" and then I was like "oh **** , I'm dreaming". I tried to calm myself down and fly around. My friends were there and flying and trying to get me to fly too, but I could barely get an inch off the ground. I struggled but I couldn't do it.

tl;dr I can't catch a ******* break anywhere.

i had one where a dark figure was about 5 feet from the edge of my bed.. and was liek casting a spell to hold me down. i know now your not sposed to fight it...but i could not breath and i really get scared when that happens (wind knocked out me ETC). anyway, i was fighting and i eventually, wit heverything i had, said **** YOU. and then i "woke up". i know now thats called sleep paralisis...wich is like lucid dreaming.

but wwhen i was younger i use to fly threw my grandmothers house all the time... like every night for weeks. i use to live in seattle and would have them where mount ST. hellens blew up... and i usually im able to control my dreams. thats why i hate boozing and not having dreams. they usually end up going wrong soem how and i die or fail...wich is probably a metiphore for my life, sadly!

I've only lucid dreamed a couple times and they have been by accident. I'm too afraid because I've heard that if it's a bad dream or something, things can get bad.

Lucid dreaming is pretty damn cool. Once I was walking back to my house and realised I was dreaming. Then one of those re-occurring things came into my mind. " **** , when I go home in a dream bad stuff happens". So I went "well **** this then" and flew away.

Basically, lucid dreaming is fun, try it. Takes a bit of time to get into but it's worth it.

I lucid dream every night. And the best part is, I remember my dreams the night before WHILE dreaming. its like have a save button. I dreamed my way halfway through the Eragon series!

I do that sometimes, too! I remember one was where there was some sort of war going on in my town, and me and some friends were trying to escape.

I practice lucid dreaming a lot :3 it's easier than you'd think, now I'm trying to lucid dream/ sleepwalk :D
User avatar #36 to #7 - AvatarAirBender (01/31/2013) [-]
Its impossible to lucid dream and sleep walk. You only dream while in the REM cycle. And while in the REM cycle your body paralyzes itself.

Sorry.

Awww stupid biology/psycology :(

User avatar #8 to #6 - leredspy (01/31/2013) [-]
I've had that, at least twice I've dreamt that I could breath underwater if I gritted my teeth, and made a mental note to try it when I woke up, of course as soon as I woke up I realised that was retarded.
