My recollection of Home Alone. The phones from France(?) could not contact the home, my guess is because it's overseas, not that Kevin's phone was broken.

With Jurrasic pak im guessing most of the ground is level with the fence except for that one section which drops off into a ditch due to it being an area for water run off (since there a large storm drain pipe at the bottom where the girl is told to hide).

For the Gremlins, you don't have to get into the timezone thing to debunk it... any time of the day, no matter where in the world you are, it is always after midnight. Think about it. But if you want to patch up that plothole, you can say the midnight rule refers to the internal clock of the Mogwai which syncs up with the day/night transitions they are in.

Also, "what if a dog could play basketball" is an example of a high-concept.

Maybe all the parents in The Santa Clause, who don't believe in santa, just give their own kids gifts, and santa only gives gifts to the families that believe.

The Harry potter one is false. For one, the time turners are specifically mentioned in the fifth book. They all get smashed. Secondly, the movie made a point that there is only one time stream. Theres a scene in the movie where a character gets hit by a rock in the head. Only later do we find out that it was harry/hermione who through the rock in the first place, proving that you can't alter the past.

He could easily get the sled through the door if he turned it on it's side, that one must be a joke because anybody with a brain could see that.

In the harry potter one, in the books professor Mgonnagle, forbids hermionie to use the time turned for anything else other then extra classes, she gave it back in at the end of the year, and then in the order of the pheonix, when voldemort lures harry into the departmeant of mysterys, haryy destroys the stock of time turners in a fight agasint a death eater

Aladdin: Street urchin marries indian looking princess with pet tiger that is not native to any part of the Middle East in an Ottoman era arabian city and meets a genie, part of arab mythology that predates Islam. Someone explain the logic.
