I sure hope this doesn't lead to a soccer (football) vs football debate

I don't know, I feel like lingerie football would just be painful to watch. I don't know much about it, but I doubt they choose players based on athletic skill.

Go to youtube and search for it
It's actually pretty insane

Bro, you posted two pictures of women's "sports". Even at the professional level, women's soccer teams play at about a men's high school level

ive played soccer pretty much my whole life, but whatever you play in (professional or non-professional) almost everyone acts like a pussy. main reason i quit is because my team-mates were spoiled and ruined the game for me

the modern day game is full of twats. Meet Bert Trautmann. Played for Man City in the 1956 FA Cup final, broke his neck during the final and continued playing

Meet Wayne "Buck" Shelford
He played for the all blacks rugby team.
Had his scrotum ripped open as well as 4 teeth knocked out, calmly walked to the sidelines holding his testicle hanging out of his ball sack. A docter stitched his stone back into his coin purse, and then he continued to play until he received another concussion.

User avatar #67 to #66 - reican (01/26/2013) [-]
about how much pain an average football player can handle.
User avatar #68 to #67 - charagrin (01/26/2013) [-]
Right, i got that. but what about what actually happened in the video. he was touched on the ear and collapsed in pain. as he injured from something else and the ref accidentally hit it? or did the ref cut him or something?
User avatar #71 to #68 - malhaloc ONLINE (01/26/2013) [-]
Its an example of how...ahem "professional" soccer/futbol players do more acting than playing. They do everything they can to get penalties thrown at the opposing team.

does it really ******* matter? it's the same exact sport, just with a different name, big deal
User avatar #58 to #36 - gatodelfuego (01/26/2013) [-]
I don't understand the point of thumbing down people who say soccer. You should be impressed that an american actually follows the sport, first off. There's no reason to jump all over people because they call it something different. There are tons of language differences between classic english and american english, soccer is the least of all of them.

sorry for my correct use of the english language?
User avatar #46 to #7 - puut (01/26/2013) [-]
It depends on your use of the word "English". Just because it's American, doesn't mean it's wrong. Just... dialect... I think, can't remember.
#42 to #7 - anon (01/26/2013) [-]
I'll post as anon but just because we use a different term in the states doesn't mean it implies something different. It's not like I say something in Imperial System and get red thumbs for not using Metric. Don't call us close minded if you can't deal with our terms just like we put up with your crap about us using them
#8 to #7 - anon (01/25/2013) [-]

#13 to #12 - scodran (01/25/2013) [-]

Turns out soccer and rugby both are forms of football, and football itself is what americans call soccer.
