How the **** is this justice? Waiters literally make less than minimum wage in the U.S., depending on their tips to make up for it. So unless she was purposely giving bad service, which I highly doubt since she is trying to make money, the guy is a ******* dickass jew for giving only 5$ for a $138 meal.

I'm sorry but the highest I tip 15% to is $60. After that you are paying for the food and not the service. I'm sorry but don't ******* feel entitled to a $35 tip just because you work at an overpriced food joint. You better ******* work your ass off to deserve a tip that is more than 10-15 bucks.

Who the hell tips at franchise restaurants? I might tip if I'm on a night out but bloody hell, waiters don't deserve tips. Ridiculous sense of entitlement there.

Do you live in the states? Cause waiters make less than minimum wage and depends on tips to make up for it.

2 words:
Proper Unions.

Actually 3 words because words is a word... And depending on whether you count 2 as a word or a number then up to 4 words, and plus this rambling it becomes quite a few words.

Also, how can you make less than minimum wage? That does not make sense to me, if you have a minimum wage then that must logically be the minimal amount of money you can get paid, otherwise it is not a minimum wage but just a vague guideline not to be taken into consideration when printing $0.56 pay-checks?

well i see a lot of comments saying how tipping 5 bucks for such a pricey meal is a dick move, so i say basically the same thing and get thumbed down? Maybe she is over reacting but i tip 5 bucks for the ******* pizza guy, I would tip 10 bucks min for this lady unless she ruined my food or something. and no i'm not rich i guess i'm just a good guy (not really i'm kind of a dick sometimes), but still

You don't **** or threat another persons food. I saw this fictional cartoon comic on here where this hot girl comes in and orders a drink. The fast food employees cum in the soda and laugh when she drinks it. It wasn't funny, and it is ****** up. I would not dine at a restaunt where the employees threaten to spit on another persons food. Even if they were kidding. I respect Chilils a lot more for firing her. Also she shouldn't be mad, all she does is serve, the cook in the other hand...
User avatar #935 to #932 - maxismahname ONLINE (01/23/2013) [-]
yeah that is ****** up, i guess you're right. but it reminded me of this 4han thread.

not tipping much is impolite.

a waiter making food unsanitary for his clients is unethical.

Tipping is a custom, but the health and sanitation code is law.
#895 - ohitshim (01/23/2013) [-]
I feel bad for the waitress, BUT, at the same time think that she's a ******* dumbass, obviously tipping less than 18% or 20% is a dick move, heck you can even go 15% that's fine. But randomly getting someone fired is also kind of random dick move too, I guess it's fine if you were the person that only tipped 5$ to complain rightfully about her posting that. But also you know, that's someones job, and now they have no job and are now unemployed because of said person. But on the other hand of course, yes, a 5$ tip on a 138$ meal is ridiculous dick. (RiDICKulous).
#905 to #895 - fuckedbyapony (01/23/2013) [-]
I would never give a 30$ tip on a meal especially if it was 138$

Um, If someone left me a 5$ tip on an over hundred dollar order, I wouldn't let them ******* leave, and neither would my boss. that's barely 5%.

Actually my boss would say like, "I appreiate your buisness, and our waitresses work very hard to keep your experience ehre welcoming. They don't have to, but they do."

in his silly french accent.
#1042 to #882 - dildzmiester (01/24/2013) [-]
Wouldn't let them leave? Ya the cheap tip is rude but still, tips are not mandatory, you don't HAVE to tip. If it was they would have a tip included in the bill like some places do. I tip generously if it was good service but if I had a horrible server I would only tip 5% and wouldn't feel it's unreasonable. It's still giving the person something on top of the price of the meal as a bonus, even if it was horrible service. IMO
User avatar #919 to #882 - hachigomo (01/23/2013) [-]
I would laugh int he manager's face and leave. I rarely see a waiter that truly deserves a tip that is worth more than 10-15 bucks. If I liked the food that much I would tip the chef directly.

Then bring your own damn food to your table. You want prompt service, and a friendly smile, good atmosphere and a nice food experience, then you tip.
Otherwise, i'll bring you your food when i feel like it, not refill your drinks and say "you sure you wanna eat this greasy burger? you're getting kinda big" when i deliver your **** .
I'm doing my job, you want it don't well you tip. end of story. I get paid wether your food comes to you cold or warm, ya cunt.

Let me break it down for you.

Your job is to bring me my food and provide service. That right there = Zero bucks. It's your ******* job.

You come promptly and are polite= 5%
You refill my drinks are check up every so often to see if the table needs more=10-15% up to 70 bucks
Make the experience unique and then you can get a damn % on the bill past that.
Don't act so entitled to a big tip because I would get you fired all the same if I got ****** or disrespectful service.

I have actually had rude waiters and I file a complaint immediately. Never see them again after that. You EARN the tip. Doing the damn basics of your job doesn't entitle to a tip.
#1078 to #1041 - bultar (01/24/2013) [-]
Right. Exactly.

So you can have Cold food, one drink and have a ****** time. And you can tip me nothing.

If she was a waiter and provided good service on a big order, which has her running around refilling drinks, keeping you happy and walking back and fourth, hopefully making you want to come back, Then you tip her well.

I tip 4$ on anyhting, assuming 10-20% is lower than 4$.

I say 4 because I can get 2 toonies easier than a five.
It's understood you're going to tip, especially on a large order. Just like its expected I'm going to do my job well.

No tip means next time you come in I'm gonna be a no-tip-worthy waiter. Deal.
User avatar #901 to #882 - anonymouzx (01/23/2013) [-]
Is a tip mandatory? I don't tip my pizza guy only because i'm a broke and cheap ************ .
#921 to #901 - emmyizme (01/23/2013) [-]
It's not MANDATORY per se, but waitresses and delivery people basically LIVE off of tips. They typically get paid less than half the minimum wage and the rest is supposed to be made up in tips.
User avatar #909 to #901 - insaneguy (01/23/2013) [-]
waiters make about $2/hr.
Most of that is taken for taxes.
That means that nearly ALL of their income is tips.

Tip your waiters.

Im a waitress, and personally I know how it feels to get tips like that. Sometimes the server doesn't deserve one, and some times the customers are just cheap ass **** heads. I would NEVER post that on fb though-that is just asking for it. Honestly Ive gotten awful tips before, but she should have looked at the big picture, she probably does fairly well overall. Missing that extra $15 of tip was not worth the net amount of profit her job brings her
