AUTOTHEISM BEYUTCH!

1. The Doctrine of God's self-existence.
2. Deification of one's self; self-worship.

Why do people think that Jesus is "God" when he was the son of god.

Because he is both God and the Son of God according to the Bible. So when he references his father, he is actually referencing himself.

Doesnt make sense to me either.

Because "god" is a trinity meaning he's 3 parts: the father, the son(Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. It is essentially the very base of Christian faith

If you gave birth to God, then in one sense you're the "Mother of God", but in another, you're not. (Because Mary didn't come before God) It depends on how you look at it.

If I remember correctly, the holy trinity (God, Jesus, Holy ghost), are separate beings which are one entity.

If you choose to believe in the Trinity then I suppose that's the case. Otherwise they are all entirely separate things.

That's correct. In my Old/New Testament classes, my Professor said that it's a concept people seem to struggle with, but that this idea helps:

(She also said this idea can be broken down, but it gets the point across.)
God= Water
Jesus= Ice
Holy Ghost= Steam
Trinity=H20

All the same, but separate.

First off, I'd like to say that I'm not condemning you or anything. Just that being nice in general is a good thing because it makes the person a more pleasant person to be around ("I'm not the only person in the world and recognize that." basically).
Now, more accurately I meant; State what you're trying to say in a way that doesn't make you sound like you're indirectly bragging about your own intelligence. The comment was pretty unnecessary because of that. It's easy for you to grasp, maybe, but not EVERYONE will get it. The same way that some people find Chemistry very easy, but I for one find it very difficult.
If I didn't understand the Trinity idea, and then read what you typed, I might feel bad because you made it sound like something that's incredibly easy to understand. It could make some people feel like they're dumb when they're really not.

Just something to consider!

I must be a God. Because when I prayed I talked to myself too.
